Command Dragon-Ultimate Dragon Rider

The Rongphales Ultimate Dragon Riding Mod allows for much better dragon riding than what we got in the Dragonborn DLC. It can feel a little jerky at times and the picture may drop, but if you have a decent computer you should be fine.

This is the port from Oldrim to SSE for better dragon riding.

I ported it myself, if the author wishes to remove this mod I will respect his decision and do so.

Requires SKSE and Dragonborn DLC.

Again, not my mod, this is just a port of Rongphales mod to SSE.

The only bug I really noticed is that when using ENB, everything goes black. The solution to this problem is to simply disable the mod and enable it again.

Rongphales Description:

[Return/'W']: Toggle key to command the dragon to hover or fly around freely

[Shift]: Combat landing key

[Attack/Control] + [Combat Landing/Move]: Grab a weak/wounded target (HP <200) and drop it from the sky. You can only grab NPCs now. I could have the dragon grab anyone, but this is too powerful.

[Sprint Key]: While orbiting (not hovering) and in combat, land and engage in ground combat with enemies. Press the [Sprint key] again to release the beast, allowing it to fly.

Switch from [Hover Mode] to [Orbit Mode], then quickly hold the [Forward Key] to make the dragon fly around. Your dragon can only fly out in [Orbital Mode]. Your mount may swerve here and there during the journey, but just hold down the [Forward key] to keep it on the right track

[Walk/Shift] + [Back]: Perch on a nearby building. Usually the closest one. So if you want the dragon to perch on the Word Wall, press these buttons while the dragon is above the Word Wall

While in [Hover Mode] or [High Mode], highlight the desired target (spacebar and hotkeys 1, 2) and press [Sneak Key] to shoot fireballs at the target

In [Hover Mode], press [Left] or [Right] to make the dragon turn in the direction you want.

In [Surround Mode], select the target and press [Sneak Key] to use the vanilla attack command (the dragon will use its own AI to attack)

Words of advice:

Your specifications should be sufficient to handle excessive cell loading/unloading.

Bethesda can't do this simply because stock systems don't handle it well. The dragon's maximum flight speed is 4000-5000 units/second (the horse can only sprint 600/second)

If you have a lot of fade in/out screens (due to frequent loading/unloading of cells), you could try slowing down the dragon's melting (I've set it to 50, but who knows).

Select your dragon in the console. type

'setav speedmult 40' (40% or lower if needed)

'modav carrying weight 0.01'
