About this mod Machine translation
Fixed some combat-related issues in Porroone's flying mod beta and Indefinance's flying mod overhaul.
Overview
This mod is a small edit of the flying mod script, it changes the following:
Attacking with the mouse should now be correctly detected. This fix involves explicitly telling the script to use the mouse instead of automatic mode (i.e. getmappedkey("Left Attack/Block", 1) instead of just leaving getmappedKey("Left Attack/Block") and letting it detect the device), so I also included the version that forces gamepad mode (getmappedKey("Left Attack/Block", 2)).
Add a short delay after the shout so that if you hold the key too long it doesn't happen again immediately.
Added a pre-cast delay to prevent it from happening at the beginning of the cast animation.
Reduced the time required to hold the shout key, making it more similar to a normal shout.
notes
Combat operations while flying differ from normal attacks. What happens is that the player is animated and then based on what is equipped/pressed:
If using a weapon, a special beam attack will be performed,
The equipped spell is cast,
If the Shout key is pressed, the spell equipped with the Shout will be cast based on how long the key is held down (mimicking the power of using 1, 2, or 3 words).
This still improves magic skills, but not other skills. Bows don't have their own animations and implementations, so they won't work. If you really need to use a bow or standard attack (as opposed to a "fake" attack), switch to first-person view and do it, then go back to third-person view when you want to see the flight animation (if you're moving in first-person view, you'll be walking in mid-air).
Install
- Installation of flying mod beta by Porroone, flying mod overhaul by Indefinance (modded to SSE) by Dimitriykostov. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully so you don't end up with the animation not working.
- Installed my overlay (if manually: unzip the archive into your Skyrim Special Edition\data folder), confirm if overlay is asked for (this will replace aaflyscriptb.pex).
three. Make sure everything is working properly.
Considering this is just a script rewrite, it should work for le as well.

Overview
This mod is a small edit of the Flying Mod script that changes the following:
Using the mouse to attack should now be properly detected. This fix involved explicitly telling the script to use mouse instead of the auto mode (i.e. GetMappedKey("Left Attack/Block", 1) instead of just leaving GetMappedKey("Left Attack/Block") and letting it detect the device), so I also included a version with forced gamepad mode (GetMappedKey("Left Attack/Block", 2)).
Added a short delay after shouting so it doesn’t immediately happen again if you hold the key a bit too long.
Added a delay before casting a spell to prevent it from happening when the casting animation just started.
Shortened the time needed to hold the shout key to make it more similar to normal shouting.
Notes
Combat actions performed while flying are not the same as normal attacks. What happens is animating the player, and then, depending on what is equipped/pressed:
a special beam attack is performed if a weapon is used,
equipped spell is cast,
if the shout key is pressed, the spell of the equipped shout is cast depending on how long the key is held (imitating the use of 1, 2, or 3 words of power).
This should still raise magic skills, not sure about the others. Bows don’t have their own animation and implementation, so they won’t work. If you really need to use a bow or a standard attack (instead of the 'fake' ones), switch to first person view and do it, and then go back to third when you want to see flying animations (if you move in first person view you’ll be walking in midair).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
