describe
The spell will last for 3 minutes and then dissipate automatically.
The included ring takes up slot 48 and will not appear on your character, while still allowing you to equip other jewelry.
Effects can be stacked to allow multiple colors at the same time, and their size will scale with the actor (so this can also be applied to dragons and giants).
background
The effect is a colorful reuse of the visuals accompanying Dragon Priests. Therefore, any replaced texture:
Textures\Effects\FXfireAnim04loop.dds
Textures\Effects\Gradients\GradVioBright.dds
Textures\Effects\DarkSwirlStripParts.dds
Will modify the way the halo is displayed. Make it the HD you want!
The mod uses scripts to apply the aura. The script is lightweight and event-triggered. The exact same method is used to apply effects to Dragon Priests in vanilla Skyrim, so it should be 99% safe (it's Bethesda after all).
FAQ
Q: Can you make these incredible?
Answer: No. Use AddItemMenu or console.
Q: Legendary version?
Answer: No. But I have open access, so please feel free to port. Just give me credit and link back to this mod.
Q: More colors?
A: I find the existing colors adequate.
Q: Is it safe to install or uninstall in the game?
Answer: Installation Yes. Wait for all halo to dissipate before uninstalling to avoid potential script residue.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
