Original Mod Information:

This mod originated from a proof of concept. Initial Thoughts Forum:
Description (version 1.1)
This mod allows you to use a spell to "mark" containers. You can then cast a spell to open a container you've "marked" anywhere in Skyrim.
This mod has been slightly expanded to be more useful outside of the tutorial. There is now a spell "Custom Storage - Interface" (details below). Additionally, you can now set up multiple containers.
Custom Storage - Interface
Most of the spells that teach this spell can be chiseled out of any golden tanning rack.
If you are stealthed while casting this spell, it will allow you to "set"/"mark" a container. A small help message will appear, and if you open a container within a few seconds, a menu will appear. what to choose
The name/category you want to assign to this container. Warning: If you already have a container set up and select a new container, it will overwrite your settings. These items will not be transferred to the new container.
It will still be in the old container, but you will have to go to the old container to retrieve your items.
If you are not sneaking when casting this spell, a menu will appear with the available names/categories. Once you select a container, it will be opened and you can transfer items in and out as if the container was at your feet (regardless of your location or not). If you haven't set up a container for that category, an error message will appear in the notification area.
What about the old spells?
The old spells (set up and opened with just a container) are still there and will continue to work (so if you're using version 1.0, you can still access your stash). However, version 1.0 of the book is
No longer suitable for tanning racks (although they are still in the mod, if you need them you will have to use the console to add them to your inventory).
If you are not using version 1.0, you don't need the old book/spell.
Other instructions
This mod is fully functional and anyone can use it; however, the intended purpose is twofold:
figure out what to do
Posting the method so other mod authors who might be wondering how to do this can take a look at this mod and figure it out
Because #2 if you want to use any of this mod in another mod, go for it. I'd appreciate it if you did. ^ _ ^
As for me, I need to thank Xilver for his "Midas Magic - Spell in Skyrim" mod, since I got a sneak peek at his "Open Lock" spell to begin with. Find his great models here:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
