Hello.
I did this for Skyrim VR but it is just a texture recolor and will be used with Skyrim SSE.

I created this mod for myself because I had a hard time seeing the trading signs clearly, especially the mode selections that change lighting and weather. If you're in the same situation, I hope you find this recolor useful.
The original signs are realistic in that they are severely faded, have noisy flecks of paint, and show strong weathered grooves in the wood. Unfortunately, the sacrifice of this realism is that the vanilla logo is difficult to discern from a distance.
I want to emphasize that these are hallmarks of vanilla. All I did was recolor their elements to make them easier to see.

After installation, you will see the trade logo is different. There is nothing special to do in the game.

Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2.
Click on the File tab and click on the latest version to get the mod. Don't forget to install and enable the mod in the mod software.

Among many other additions, this model places lanterns near many trade signs. This basically helps to observe them in weather or changing darkness levels.

Other road sign models are difficult to read because they use etched effects. This mod uses bright white paint for city names that you can easily read at any time during the day or weather conditions.

Hi.
I made this for Skyrim VR, but it’s just a texture re-color and will work with Skyrim SSE.

I created this mod for myself as I was having difficulty seeing trade signs clearly, especially with mod choices that changed lighting and weather. If you are in the same situation, I hope you find this recoloring useful.
The original signs are realistic in that they are badly faded, have noisy flecked paint and exhibit strong weathered grooves in the wood. Unfortunately, the sacrifice for this realism is that the vanilla signs can be hard to discern from a distance.
I want to emphasize that these are the vanilla signs. All I did was recolor elements of them to make them easier to view.

Claralux SSE
----------------
Amongst a myriad of other additions, this mod places lanterns near many trade signs. This substantially helps viewing them in inclemental weather or modified darkness levels.
Weathered Road Signs

Other road sign mods are difficult to read because they use an etching effect. This mod uses a bright white paint for the city names that you can easily read at any time of day or weather condition.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
