About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds the heat source of »Campfire« to the firepower provided by »CLARALUX«, making them available to those running »Frostfall«.

If you're using a CLARALUX with Frostfall, you might try using one of the new roadside fire pits to warm up at some point - just realize that the CLARALUX fire won't act as a heat source. That's a shame, because every bit of warmth could help someone get around Skyrim's frozen regions. Also - standing next to a giant bonfire freezing to death is a bit annoying.

This mod adds the Campfire's heat source to the firepower provided by CLARALUX, making them available to adventurers during Frostfall.

It is achieved by adding »CampfireHeatsourceOverrideNormal« from Campfire to the 261 locations that reference the open CLARALUX fire. This provides an invisible heat source that maintains player "comfort" levels in any condition. For the giant campfires (19 positions) provided by CLARALUX »Use CampfireHeatsourceOverrideWarm«, which can heat the player to "warm" in any conditions.

The scope of this mod is limited to the open fireplace (plus torches) added by CLARALUX. Lanterns don't provide enough heat. If you think I've missed an instance, please feel free to post a bug report with the location and RefID of the relevant fire. You can find the RefID by opening the console and clicking on the flame. Install the More Information console to get this information about the selected element.

technology:

This mod only contains an esl-tagged plugin - i.e. it does not count towards the plugin limit.

Loading order shouldn't really matter - you just need CLARALUX, Frostfall and Campfire installed. When in doubt, load after load.

If you're using CLARALUX with Frostfall, you've probably tried to use one of the new roadside firepits to warm up at some point - only to realize that CLARALUX fires don't act as a heat source. That's a shame since every bit of warmth might help someone to get around the frozen regions of Skyrim. Also - it's a bit annoying to freeze to death standing right next to a Giant bonfire.

This Mod adds heat sources from Campfire to open fires provided by CLARALUX, making them usable for adventurers during Frostfall.

It does so by adding »CampfireHeatsourceOverrideNormal« from Campfire to 261 locations that reference an open CLARALUX fire. This provides an invisible heat source that warms the player to "Comfortable" level under any condition. For CLARALUX-provided Giant bonfires (19 locations)»CampfireHeatsourceOverrideWarm« is used, which is able to warm the player to "Warm" under any condition.

The scope of this mod are only the open fireplaces (plus torches) added by CLARALUX. Lanters don't provide enough heat. If you think I missed an instance, feel free to post a bug report with the location and RefID of the fire in question. You can find out the RefID by opening the console and clicking on the flames. Install More Informative Console to get this information about the selected element.

TECHNICAL:

This mod consists of only an esl flagged plugin - i.e. it's not counting towards the plugin limit.

The load order shouldn't really matter - you just have to have CLARALUX, Frostfall and Campfire installed. If in doubt, load after those.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
