Overview
Weather depending on the season is a great concept, realistic and immersive. However, the seasons introduced in Cathedral Weather felt like not enough, so I decided to improve it. The initial months are grouped together in a season and only a few weather types - rain, storm and snow - are included in the dynamic probabilistic treatment. Fog is dealt with by the probability of rain, while sunny and cloudy weather is the same probability throughout the year. In my version, all weather types depend on the season and fog is no longer considered rain. Each month has its own weather probability, making them even more diverse - now Rain's Hand and Sun's Height will live up to their names.
Some areas will still have some weather with static probabilities - for example, there's always a chance of snowfall in a snow-covered area, but it will snow less frequently in the summer than in the winter.

compatibility
This is an edit of Cathedral Weather, so it will not work with any other weather model. However, I provide a patch for real storms, wet and cold gray weather, and Minty's Lightning. It requires all of these models (obviously), as well as cathedral weather improvements for rain and fog - without it the weather wouldn't be as good. Optional versions without wet and cold are also available. I edited the weather in these models to maintain a blended horizon for the cathedral and use global variables that control seasonal weather probabilities.
All files are tagged ESL (ESP-FE format) so they are not limited to 254 by the plugin.
FAQ
Q: Will you patch X?
A: Only I use it. But feel free to make any patch you want using my files.
Q: I see a conflict in xEdit and your patch is garbage.
A: I have to make a choice - if there are several mods editing one thing, I need to decide which version to use. You may also notice that I didn't pass on TS thunder to the rain. This is intentional - not every rainy day is supposed to be a storm. Actual storm weather includes TS' sounds.
Q: It's always bad weather and your mod is frustrating.
A: It all depends on the month. But if you don't like it, I've got you covered! Open the console and enter setGlobalSeasonClearMultiplier to #, where # is a number greater than or equal to 0. The default value is 1, by which the probability of sunny days is multiplied. For example, if you set it to 2, sunny days will be twice as likely as the default weather in a certain month (15% → 30%, 10% → 20%, etc.). You can set it to 0 if you don't want sunny weather, or 0.5 or whatever you like (just not less than 0).
Q: Is this script very heavy?
Answer: No. It's the same with cathedral weather - when you load the game or set the season while sleeping, the script doesn't run every second. All I did was add more states, now there are 12 instead of 4, but it doesn't affect performance.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
