Links inventory weight so that the weight you are carrying now affects stamina drain, the more you carry, the faster your stamina becomes - turn it on/off or choose from 3 difficulty levels.
Magicka and life regeneration are affected when exercising or swimming, this is related to weight, the greater the weight, the lower the regeneration rate - on/off.

Players will now automatically walk when stamina is depleted - on/off.
All NPCs still move at the same speed as the player. (not optional)
Players must walk (switch walking mode or ease the analog stick) or stop to allow Stamina, Health, and Magicka to regenerate. (not optional)

Movement speed has been adjusted to be more realistic. Walk slightly faster (vanilla is very slow). Running and sprinting are slower (vanilla is too fast). (No need to go through separate file section in MCM-file).

Game changes
Stamina loss occurs any time you run or swim, this also applies to combat. Be aware of this, as fighting already consumes stamina so the effects stack. The same applies to running away, if you rush away from danger as soon as you run out of stamina, you'll be more likely to be caught. Running backwards doesn't drain stamina, as you can't move backwards fast enough to tire yourself out (useful in combat if you can block your stamina regeneration while walking backwards). Management of stamina and health becomes crucial, make sure you have stamina/health potions or spells before dungeon crawling, or at least take bedding.
FAQ
Q: Do you make Stamina drains for Jumping/Bow Drains?
Answer: I've looked into both of these things and there are many mods that already do this for bows. This kind of thing is best done with scripts, and the only scripts that run in this mod are in the MCM. I want to keep scripts as free as possible. If you want a durable drain pipe, I recommend Wildcat or Smilodon. Both are highly configurable, so you can choose the elements you like. Jump stamina loss requires scripting. I might look into it in the future, but right now, no, no.
Q: Will you be linking Stamina drains to stock weights at some point?
A: This has been implemented in version 3.0.
Q: This mod isn't used to slowing down players for a walk. Why did you introduce that element?
A: Simply put, it’s more immersive. In the past I've had trouble getting it to work consistently due to the nature of magic effects involving movement speed, but in this version it works flawlessly.
Q: So what actually changes compared to the old version?
A. a) When Stamina is depleted, the player is now forced to walk.
b) It’s all about inventory weight.
c) Stamina, Health and Magicka are all connected to each other and are affected to some extent by the mechanics of movement.
d) Added new move …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
