about

This mod allows the player to automatically consume food and potions when health/stamina/mana fall below a specified percentage, and automatically apply poison both in and out of combat.

feature

Supports all foods/potions with a single health/stamina/mana restoration effect, as well as all poisons.

Consume items according to priority to make this process as efficient as possible (see below).

Allows players to delay consumption to simulate a cooldown.

Allows the player to control the amount of stat recovery.

Allows players to skip eating/drinking animations/effects for uninterrupted combat.

Warn if food and potions run out (for health only).

Configurable via MCM.

notes

  • Depending on your statistical loss, multiple items will be consumed. If you lose 50 HP, multiple items will be consumed to restore 50 HP.
  • The priority factors are as follows:

Food/potion = food -> potion.

Food Type = Raw Food -> Fruit/Vegetables -> Herb Food -> Cooked Food -> Beverages.

Food Factor = Minimum Recovery + Maximum Weight -> Minimum Weight + Maximum Recovery.

Potion Factor = Vanilla Minimum Recovery -> Vanilla Maximum Recovery -> Custom Minimum Recovery -> Custom Maximum Recovery.

  • For poisons, apply the poison once and then the mod will use the same poison every time as long as you have it in your inventory.

If you plan to use the auto-poison feature, I highly recommend using the updated version of Enhanced Poison-Free Dialog to avoid vanilla pop-up spam. Keep in mind that ENPD is a DLL-based mod, so it may break during Creation Club updates. I would also recommend that you set the game to not update until launched via Steam and always launch Steam first and then SKSE64 or use SkyrimSE.exe to automatically back up to ensure you are not surprised by any updates.

Also, if you use a major need mode like iNeed, I recommend disabling food consumption in MCM.

uninstall

  • Disable "Enable AutoConsumePotions" from the Mod Configuration Menu, then close the menu or type "stopquest tpACPQuest" in the console.
  • Save your game.
  • Deactivate the mod and delete it.

Disclaimer

This is a port of techprince's Auto Consume Potions. I'm not the original author and can't really provide support, but I tested the mod and everything works as expected. Whether it's a question, discussion or feedback, I'll keep the comments section open. The pattern has been resaved in CK to table 44.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
