About this mod Machine translation
Expand Whiterun with two new districts. New buildings, decorations, shops, merchants and NPCs, a new player home and three mini-quests.
"Whiterun's central location in Skyrim makes it a trading hub for the entire province."
I think this statement is actually correct. The city has expanded in both directions
There are some nice vids showcasing the mod in the video tag --->
Functions within the wall:
- 14 new buildings, 3 of which are shops
- a bakery
-Shops selling construction products
-Alchemist/Witch/Magic Supplies Shop
-A new Playerhome, Bluesky Hall. It has more space than Breezehome. It also costs more.
-About 22 new NPCs
-New NPCs have AI packages set up so they will perform tasks in the town. Practice archery during the day and drink mead at night, etc.
-Many new NPCs will use vanilla voiceovers for dialogue and/or greetings
-Some new NPCs will be equipped with some custom clothing.
- Fences for stolen items can be purchased, you don't need to be a guild member to do so. But you have to find him yourself.
- Various new decorations around town.
-DLC integration. This is a fancy way for me to add some content from the DLC. Like the oven, the butter is churned and yellow mountain flowers.
-Skyforge comes with a tanning rack, smelter, sharpening wheel and workbench.
Functions outside the wall:
-Some small decorations.
-New tavern called Roadhouse.
Four new merchants will sell their wares on the way to the gate:
-Empire Merchant
-A bodyguard merchant and his daughter selling some clothes, gems and rum from Hammerfell
-Nordic fur trader
-A high elf merchant who would probably rather stay on Somerset
Merchants will sleep in the Roadhouse at night.
Featured Features - Impact on WHITERUN:
Depending on the missions you complete, there will be some small new scenes and decorations around town.
-Longteng. After killing Mir Munir (the watchtower dragon), some very excited guards will be celebrating at the Talos statue when you become Tyne. Talk to them to get a small gift. The skull of Mirmulnir will be installed above the entrance to Dragonsreach.
-Fighting Whiterun (Empire). After the battle, some new Empire-themed decorations will appear in towns. The effects of Platinum Temperature will also cause some changes.
-Battle of Whiterun (Stormcloak). After the battle, new offerings and decorations will appear in the Temple of Talos. Temporary accommodation in Heimsk would be better.
-Glory of the Dead. After reaching a certain stage in the companion storyline, the Skyforge will "awake". This is a fairly subtle effect.
-Nature's blessing. After completing this quest, some new Gildergreen saplings will pop up around town, regardless of the ending.
(Most should work even if you've done the pre-installation tasks)
new tasks
A short new quest surrounding a special horse has been added. Look for the note in the new area behind the banner mare. Or at Jarl's stables outside Dragonsreach. Vanilla dub.
New in 1.2 = Missions involving giants have been added. Talk to all the handwriting in the Whiterun area to get started. Even inkeeps from other mods should be fine - if they have the correct faction
New in version 1.2 = A quest to help Igna solve a problem in the basement has been added. Talk to Igna to get started.
Install
- I recommend saving your game somewhere other than Whiterun. before installation.
- Select a version. A is normal. B has fewer external editors. Choose just one.
- Install as usual, I recommend using a mod organizer like Mod Organizer. Or vortex. up to you.
-If you want to install manually, there are 3 files. "SurWR.esp", "SurWR.bsa" and "SurWR-Textures.bsa". Place them in the Skyrim/Data folder.
- Quickly save and reload and you're good to go.
For LOD, run DyndoLod or SSELODGEN. It's not required, but you might want to do it anyway. I used SSELODGEN and it was very simple.
You can now easily disable boards in the game. Instructions are in the change log. You can find the changelog in the De …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
