Fixed candlelight spell in VR.
About this mod:
The candlelight spell is almost unusable in VR because the light floats too close to your face. It's dazzling and almost blocks the view. Unfortunately, the available first-person candela fix does not resolve this issue in the VR version of the game.
So I created this mod to change the position of the light source by moving it up and down. Therefore, it floats above your head rather than in front of your face, blocking the view. I also reduced the glow (no glow) by 60%. In the first image you can see the vanilla spelling and in the second image you can see the corrected spelling. Also, I made a "No Glow" version for those (who only use one).
This mod also works with SE, but its main purpose is to make the spell usable in VR.
Install:
Just download and add to your Mod Manager or Manager's Downloads folder. Then install it like any other mod and overwrite when prompted. This is just a grid, no plugins.
custom made:
If you want to change the intensity of the glow, you can do so by opening the mod's lightpellactorfx.nif file using Nif Scope and selecting
77 BSEffectShaderProperty and change the value of the emission multiple, as shown in the image below. Then save the file. To help you find
Your favorites, here are some reference values.
Vanilla = 1.000000
Lite = 0.400000
No glow version = 0.000000

So grateful to Savaas, author of the original The First Person Candlelight Fix and its open perm. I wouldn't have been able to solve the problem without his great work. Please visit his page and show the author some love :)
Shout out to Wolfman5750 for pointing me in the right direction ;)

About this mod:
The Candlelight Spell is pretty much unusable in VR, because the light is floating too close to your face. It´s dazzling and sort of blocks your sight. Unfortunately the available 1st Person Candlelight Fix, doens´t fix this problem for the VR version of the game.
So i created this mod to change the postition of the lightsource, by moving it up and back. So now it´s floating above your head, rather than in front of your face, blocking the sight. I also reduced glow by 60% (not the emitted light). In the first image you see the vanilla spell and in the second image the corrected one. Alternatively i made a "No Glow" version for those who perfer (use only one).
This mod will also work with SE but its main purpose is to make this spell usable in VR.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
