CACO Potion Generator

A web application that allows you to try CACO potion recipes from the comfort of your web browser. No need to fiddle with actual ingredients in the game.

kryptopyr's Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul gives rare ingredients more powerful alchemical effects than common ingredients. We actually get rewarded for using bold hearts in our healing potions instead of regular red mountain flowers. This introduces a new motivation to experiment to find the best combination of powerful ingredients for our desired brew. We can wander the land looking for novel reagents to prepare the perfect ointment.

If this is too much trouble for you, I've developed an app that allows you to perform all your experiments from the comfort of your web browser.

With CACO Potion Builder, you can search ingredients by effect to find exactly the combination you want, or find something specific by name. If you have Beyond Skyrim: Bruma and Hunterborn installed, all added ingredients are also included.

Require

• Javascript-enabled web browsers have seen considerable investment over the past decade.

-Internet connection that allows for a small download when the page first loads.

-Although not technically required, it is assumed that you are running CACO for Special Edition.

----If you are running Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, it is assumed that you are also using TeaBag86's patch.

----If you are running Hunterborn, it is assumed that you are using patches from the kryptopyr patch center.

Installation (requires some assembly)

1.) Manually download the archive hosted here.

2.) Extract the .zip file to wherever you want to keep the application. The file you want to open to run everything is caco-potion-builder.html. If you're a nerd like me, make sure you open it in a browser (not a text editor).

3.) With the HTML page open in your browser, create a shortcut in your bookmarks or on your desktop, just like you would create any web page on the web. You will notice that the URL starts with "file://" instead of "http://" or "

3a. ) You can also do all of this on your phone or tablet if you know what you're doing. The app will rearrange everything to render well on smaller screens.

3b. ) If you've used the app before and are tired of scrolling through the instructions, add "#brewing-preview" to the end of the shortcut URL.
