Bruma Walkthrough by Zero Issue Productions

Do not use NMM

Mod Manager (NMM) can lose or corrupt data when downloading/installing large mods like Bruma. This results in loss of functionality or otherwise causing errors in mod-related content, and is part of the reason why people started working on alternative development on Vortex. If you encounter problems and installed the mod using NMM, you will be asked to reinstall manually before continuing with assistance.

Using Mod Organizer 2 (recommended) or Vortex:

Click "Download with Manager" or download the archive manually. After activating the module, make sure that both BSAssets.esm and BSHeartland.esm are enabled in the load order, and make sure that BSHeartland.esm is loaded after BSAssets.esm. Then, BS_DLC_patch.esp should follow BSHeartland.esm.

Manual installation

Download the archive and unzip it, then place all contents in the Skyrim/Data folder. Make sure that both BSAssets.esm and BSHeartland.esm are enabled in the load order, and make sure that BSHeartland.esm is loaded after BSAssets.esm. Then, BS_DLC_patch.esp should follow BSHeartland.esm.

Uninstall:

Uninstalling Beyond Skyrim: Bruma is not supported because the game engine "bakes" data into the saved game. If you want to stop using Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, we strongly recommend that you roll back to a saved game that predates the installation of Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, or start a new saved game.

If you uninstall Beyond Skyrim: Bruma without rolling back to a previously saved game or starting a new one, you are likely to encounter errors. This is due to the way the game engine handles data files, and this is true for Bethesda's official DLC as well as other similar mods.
