About this mod Machine translation
A female follower based on a character I created for Fallout 3
Brooke started life in Fallout 3, and now she's found Skyrim. But does she know how she got here?
Brooke is a legitimately hireable follower, but she also has a backstory that I hope to develop further. After recruiting her, a backstory chat option will appear. (If they don't then this is a dialogue bug in the Creation Kit. Save, exit the menu and load the game again and it will fix it and the dialogue will be there) You should see "So what's your story?" in your selection.
You can find her at Rorikstead's Inn.
Need help: I'm struggling to get her to look just right, mainly her hair color, no matter what I do I can't get her hair color to be the same as in Fallout 3, it even looks different in game than it does in the kit. If anyone knows why please contact me.
Version 4.5
Hair and facial issues fixed
5th edition
Removed her disarm when I found out it was causing problems with other companions. In a game I was playing, she accidentally unharmed Lydia, and without Lydia taking any kind action, the couple launched into a vicious fight that ended with Lydia's death! I've replaced the disarming cry with some harmless healing spells and some restoration perks. She shouldn't do any harm to those.
Brooke is acceptable, the next update should also add dialogue options and add more to her background
Version 6
Since the gray face issue hit me, her appearance changed further and to fix it I had to change the name of the plugin file.
Added more dialogue to her backstory
6.5
The disarming cry crept back in a way, as she kept disarming the player, and in one instance she disarmed Lydia, leading to a fight and Lydia's death! Added healing spells and restoration perks instead.
I tested Brooke with the Amazing Follower Tweaks mod and she worked fine

Brooke is a follower who can hire normally but she also has a back story which I hope to develop further. The back story chat options will appear after hiring her. Version 5
Taken the disarm spell off her as I found it caused problems with other companions. In a game I was playing she accidentally disarmed Lydia which Lydia didn't take kindly to and the pair launched into a vicious fight which ended in Lydia's death! I have replaced the disarm shout with some harmless a healing spell and some restoration perks. She shouldn't be able to do any damage with those.
Brooke is marriable and the next update should also increase the dialogue options for and add more to her back story
Version 6
Further changes to her looks due to the grey face issue hitting me, to fix it I had to change the name of the plug in file.
Added a bit more dialogue to her back story
6.5
The disarm shout had somehow crept back in which gets annoying as she keeps disarming the player and in one example she disarmed Lydia which resulted in a fight and the death of Lydia! Added healing spells and restoration perks as a substitute.
I have tested Brooke with the Amazing Follower Tweaks mod and she works fine
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
