Bound Armory Extravaganza adds a host of new bound weapons, plus damage scaling and special effects based on your magic choices.
Weapon selection, damage scaling and special effects can be selected and adjusted in the mod configuration menu (MCM).
Simply select the weapon type that each spell summons in the MCM under Bind Armory -> Weapon Selection.
There are two spells for one-handed weapons, so you can have a different weapon in each hand.
The available weapons are:
1H weapons:
sword, battle axe, hammer, dagger, sword (katana), short sword, short spear, short handle, hammer, club, punching dagger, katar, ancient urak, urak, flameless sword, flameless dagger
2H weapons:
Battleaxe, Greatsword, Warhammer, Halberd, Sickle, Warglaive, Trident, Mace, Quarterback, Flameless Battleaxe
remote:
bow, crossbow, flameless bow, flameless crossbow
tool:
Pickaxe, Woodman's Ax
These can be found individually.
mysterious bondage
Bound weapons deal Dara's damage level and gain 10% of your summoning skill level as bonus damage.
This damage is physical, stacks with weapon perks and skill levels, and is reduced by the enemy's armor level.
Damage scaling can be disabled in the MCM under damage settings.
soul thief
Bound Weapons cast soul traps on targets and gain special effects.
The effect depends on the spell school you selected in the damage settings in MCM.
Available options include: no special effects; Magicka, health or stamina absorption; staggering effects; or elemental and sun damage. In order to gain elemental and solar damage, you will also need to summon the corresponding elemental or undead astronomy.
The default selection is Magicka Absorption.
Forgot binding
Bound weapons gain 1% of current magic as damage per summoned mastery and dual cast bonus damage (ie: using summon dual cast, novice, apprentice, adept, expert and mage summons you gain 7% of current magic damage as bonus damage).
This damage is physical, stacks with weapon perks (but not skills), and is reduced by the enemy's armor class.
Damage scaling can be disabled in the MCM under damage settings.
Further damage and compatibility options are available, which can be loaded below Bound Armory in the load order. Your MCM corruption settings may be automatically overruled by these options.
GaigeTheMechromancer released a mod with built-in compatibility: Enchant Bound Weapons. With it, bound armory weapons that you can craft yourself will gain one (or better: up to 4) elemental enchantments if you're wearing the right jewelry.
Ordinator is compatible out of the box. For the best experience, load Ordinator after BAE and set Damage Scaling and Magic School in BAE Damage Settings to None (no automatic override).
For any aspiring bound weapon mages (untested), bound Daedric Armor and Bound Shield with FX look great.
How about supporting game consoles?
- Unfortunately, it doesn't look like SkSE and SkyUI are coming to consoles, so at this point, we'll have to wait and see.
Is this mod compatible with [insert famous overhaul mod]
- In its current condition, unless otherwise stated: No. But just like the original Binding Armory, we plan to add support for various overhauls. If you are an experienced user of Bound Armory and any overhaul mod and would like to help us provide compatibility patches, please contact us in the comments section.
How exactly did the first weapons work? Are they unarmed weapons or what?
- For use with the Bound Armory perk, fist weapons all work like regular daggers. If you feel like you could help us make balanced unarmed weapons that work well with Presator or Requiem, please let us know what you can come up with.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
