About this mod Machine translation

Merge bodyslide clothing without losing slider data.

Ever had two bodyslide garments and wanted to merge them, tried, and realized one of the sections was missing all the slider data?

How to merge Bodyslide clothing:

Copy the base meshes (nifs in ShapeData) from the various outfits you want into a nif. Open each mesh in its own niffscope instance, select the scene root and ctrl-v from one mesh node, and ctrl-v from the other.

Run my tool from the command line without arguments to get the help text. Yes, there are 10 parameters. If you've ever created a transition, you should be able to figure it out. Additionally, investigating the innards of an osp will help.

Find the osp files for the bodyslide garments you want to merge (these are the bodyslide project files).

Run the tool with parameters.

Open the generated osp and check that it is not dead.

To merge more than two, repeat the process using the resulting rig as one of the inputs.

Remember to add the generated rig to a group, otherwise it may not show up in BodySlide.

Example parameters using my DX Ancient Draugr Armor conversion:

F:\cbbe_merge_tool\merge_outfits.exe "Ancient Draugr Armor.osp" "Ancient Draugr Cuisse" "Ancient Draugr Armor.osp" "Ancient Draugr Armor" "Ancient Draugr Armor Physics Full.nif" "test_merged_outfit.osp" "Ancient Draugr Armor" "" Grid\DX\ AncientDraugr""test_output""test_outfit"

The source is in download.

P.S. This is a command line tool.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
