The goal behind this mode is to provide players with the possibility to role-play as a blood mage. To this end, several new spells have been added based on vanilla, and two new perks have been added to the Destruction perk tree. Spells will be found in the same locations as their respective vanilla equivalents (e.g. the master spell will only be available for purchase in Falalda once the player completes the Ritual of Destruction spell quest).
Spells/sounds have been tweaked compared to existing vanilla blood spells. However, in addition to the scripts for Blood: Cloak mesh and Blood: Infection, vanilla projects are used, so mods will change these.
Spells (dwarven robots, ghosts, and undead are immune to all these spells)
Blood: Drain (Novice): The usual health absorption concentration spell. It deals 8 health points of base damage per second, and the caster will absorb it.
Blood: Bolt (Apprentice): Throw a ball, absorbing 25 health points from the target.
Blood: Rune (Apprentice): Perform a run on the ground, absorbing 50 health points from the target. I recommend using the mod Detailed Runes as it gives the look of the runes from the screenshot.
Blood: Cloak (Adept): Adds a cloak to the caster, absorbing 8 health points from nearby enemies. This cape does not benefit from enhanced blood.
Blood: Shockwave (Adept): The caster shoots a red wave forward, absorbing 40 health points from all captured enemies.
Blood: Implosion (Expert): Affected targets are slowed by 75% and take 50 damage to their health. If the target dies under this spell, it will explode, leaving a ghostly trail for you to loot, with several body parts surrounding it.
Blood: Infection (Expert): This spell hits the target and causes 15 points of damage to its health, lasting 10 seconds. If the target dies while infected, it will spread to nearby enemies.
Blood: Toxic Plague (Master): It takes 3 seconds to recharge, just like the other primary spells. Everyone around the player will have their armor level reduced by 300 points (or a negative value if the target's armor level is below 300). This means that the affected target will take more damage from physical attacks.
Final Notes: Bleeding from additional open wounds, Adept and Mage spells will not heal the player, and Magic Resistance will reduce the effectiveness of all spells and effects listed above.
Heartbeat
Enhanced Blood: Each level gained in this class increases the damage/level of each blood spell (including Bleeding from open wounds) by 25% with the exception of Blood: Cloak. At level 2, damage is increased by 50%.
Open Wounds: When this damage is taken, each blood spell will cause the affected target to bleed for 6 seconds (or for the duration of the spell, whichever is higher) and deal 3 points of damage to its health per second (affected by the enhanced blood perk).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
