================================================== ===================

This mod adds a new menu to the MCM menu. Here you can see if a random dragon is currently blocked and you can easily block them there.

How the mod works is very simple. It allows you to change the global variable "MQ106TurnOffRandomDragons" from 0 to 1 in a very simple way.

Closing and opening the menu will also change the displayed value based on the true setting of the global value. What does this mean? The options in the menu will change based on the setting of the global value, so you won't be fooled by whether a random dragon is active or not.

What exactly is stopping this? It blocks:

Dragon appears when changing location.

You will no longer receive bounty letters about dragons.

It prevents the event "Bodies, Dogs Left Behind After Dragon Attack" (WESJ18) from happening.

It should be noted that already spawned dragons will not disappear with this mod. This means that once you kill all placed dragons from the game, you shouldn't have any dragons in the game since random dragons cannot appear.

Since I know some of you want to share how stupid this is since dragons are a major part of the game and so on, the reason I created this mod is simple:

There are a few parts of my gameplay where I'd rather not fight dragons except for placed dragons.

Later in the game, I simply don't want to continuously collect dragon souls.

3.Installation

================================================== ===================

First method: NMM/Other Mod Manager (recommended)

  • Use Mod Manager to download and install, simple and clean.
  • After the installation is complete, use LOOT to automatically sort the loading orders. If you are using NMM then close it and run LOOT, this will ensure your game runs properly.

Second method: Manual (not recommended)

  • Download the file manually.
  • Extract the contents of the mod's zip file to the "Data" folder within the Skyrim folder.
  • Activate the mod in Skyrim.

4.Uninstall

================================================== ===================

Step 1: Make sure the option you want to keep active is selected in the MCM menu.

Step 2: If you did a manual installation, just remove the mod (or .esp and .bsa and .bsl files).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
