This is a special edition port of one of my favorite stealth mods
Please note that the original mod author has been inactive since 2013, so I took it upon myself to port and upload this mod. If the author or wants me to take it down please let me know and I will since I didn't get direct permission. However, I left a comment on the original mod page. Thanks to Darkwind Media for producing the Oldrim version.
Thanks to Darkwind Media for the first 3 images (pulled from the original mod page)

Before I post the description of the original mod, let me address the known bugs:
These are errors from the Oldrim version, not from my port
- When I kicked someone out, my followers attacked me!
People reported this bug in the comments for the Oldrim version. My guess as to why this happens is because your follower sees you using it and it triggers the detection script. I tried to kick someone out with a follower after using the "tdetect" command, my follower was fine, but when I started detecting again and kicked someone else out, he became hostile. My suggested solution is to not use minions...if you use this weapon you're probably playing a non-lethal thief character and the minions are nothing more than loud killing machines, so there's no need for them.
Just found the solution: tell your followers to wait somewhere else while you trash!
- I smashed a guy in their dome and they didn't get knocked out! What the hell? !
This is a bug I got back in Oldrim and occasionally it wouldn't work. Your best solution is to reload your save.
- I stole from one while working in the Thieves Guild and counted them as kills! bring it on!
Some people have reported this bug in Oldrim builds, but I've never encountered it. Solution: If you encounter this error, perform Thieves Guild work like a normal person. (Again, bugs not guaranteed...never happened to me.)
-List expands if more are found.
Now, here's the description of the original mod released by Darkwind Media 5 years ago:
"Weapons only work properly when you attack someone who doesn't detect you. If they see you, the weapon takes almost no damage. Once you hit an enemy, they slump to the ground unconscious. How much time do they have to be unconscious, but that's less than half a game day.
wake up!
Once someone is knocked down, you may want to wake them up before they wake up naturally. You can do this by hitting them again with any weapon (including blackjack), but you run the risk of people realizing you just hit them and attack. The likelihood of this happening depends on your faction and relationship rating with that person.
If you want a safer way to wake them up, then you can use smelling salts. You can grab some salt piles and turn them into smelling salts in any cooking pot. You wake a person up with a smelling salt.
You must put away your blackjack before the victim wakes up. If they see you standing over them with a blackjack in your hand, they will realize it was you who knocked them down and sound the alarm.
But wait there's more
You can easily get your own blackjack. You can create weapons at any forge using simple ingredients: firewood, iron ingots, and some leather strips.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
