Better FaceLight and Conversation Redux
New version of my BFL Mod, a fully functional Facelight Mod without CTD. Supports 5 followers and improves the visuals of conversations by automatically lighting up NPCs. Choose between 24 light variations! Includes face-to-face conversation mode. What's the point of installing a bunch of mods to make NPCs pretty if you can't see them?

Better FaceLight and Conversation
Redux
Purpose
What's the point of making the game and NPCs prettier if you don't like installing mods?
Indoor conversations are often in the dark, especially when you use lighting modules or ENB presets.
BDL Redux will help you get the most out of your mod by illuminating characters, followers, and even NPCs you can chat with.
Why
I've always liked the conversation auto-switching feature of tktk1's Face Light SE and gundershot's Facelight Plus, but I'm not satisfied. Even though Face light SE is a great mod, from my point of view it lacks customization features regarding light color and Facelight Plus is known to often cause CTD at the end of a conversation.
I redid the BFL mod because even though it fixed the CTD issues, I didn't like the results, especially conversation mode and face-to-face mode.
This new version uses fewer scripts to achieve the same results and looks better.
feature
You can choose between 4 light colors (2600K, 3200K, 5400K and 7000K, from red/warm to blue/coolest) to match your Enb/taste (all lights share the same hue at the same time).
Choose between 3 intensity levels for each type of initiation (follower, player, conversation).
Choose between two types of lighting, direct lighting (like "Face Lighting" SE), or "Undirectional" (by default) which is closer to the photography technique.
Maximum brightness setting disables lighting in illuminated areas to avoid over-lit NPCs
Automatic session switching, no CTD ;).
Supports up to five minions (performance limit), target your minion, open the MCM, add it, and done!
Auto-stealth auto-switch (player and follower)
Automatically extinguishes in first PoV to avoid lighthouse effect.
Automatically switch between first-person/third-person perspective()
Auto scale (toggleable and configurable) micro travel to mimic the old face to face mod effect, since I don't use the SKSE plugin it's very simple (no auto follow) and should be compatible with everything (even camera mods)
Manual zoom Use CTRL left to zoom during conversation and Alt left to reset position (configurable in MCM)
I'd like to make suggestions, if you're kind and if you can (willingness and time).
notes
Be careful when using follower settings, it's best to do this when the follower is not in the same cell as you. Sadly, I can't completely avoid using all CTDs in this case.
You'll notice it when you get closer to the character lighting environment. This is unavoidable, all face lighting modules have this problem, I minimized it by reducing the radius of the light.
When an NPC is removed from the list, its light effects will be removed on the next unit load (Anti-ctd).
Lighting effects are re-applied when changing cells, as followers may lose it.
If you lose player control while on the go, I've provided an option to restore your control, which only happened once during testing (pressing the Tab key while on the go). The player will teleport where the conversation started, please be careful when using it.
Almost all of my mods can be updated at any time without having to make a new save.
Old BFL users can safely update
compatibility
Compatible with dialogue customization modules.
Compatible with Quick Light SE
Should be compatible with everything, even camera mods. If one is used, the overlapping functionality is disabled.
Not compatible with simple face-to-face (not really, but the cumulative effect causes weird scaling)
Not compatible with other face lighting modules (obviously).
If you use Flower Girl Adventures, you must disable AutoZoom

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
