Various patches for better dynamic snow
Patch for better dynamic snow SE
Want the new snow effect to cover more objects?
Tired of the thin stripes/lines on various snowy objects around the world?
Not satisfied with Windhelm and wish you could revert it to vanilla without removing BDS?
Then you need better dynamic snow patches!
What does that include?
All remaining vanilla models using the vanilla snow shader should now be replaced with the BDS version.
Using the wrong shader for outdoor (ice shader instead of snow shader) replacing clutter (can) with BDS
Replace bridge with BDS outdoors using wrong shader
Experimental patch to reduce stripe/line effects on some meshes
Optional patch: Restore most Windhelm meshes -
to vanilla snow shader (not snow drift/pile)
NOTE: Place Windhelm Revert under all other BDS patches
Screenshots were taken using Fluffy Snow
Bugs/FAQ
Q: I'm still using vanilla shader effects on my mesh/model! What's going on?
Answer: You have a mod that adds a custom model to the world and they are applying vanilla shaders.
Q: Can you solve it?
Answer: Possibly. It requires permission from other authors and another patch, but...
Q: There is also a stripe effect! I thought it was fixed!
Answer: It's like putting a hole in a leaky dam, plugging one hole and the other popping out.
If you reduce the snow axis projection completely, you will have no snow accumulation.
You can reduce it, but I doubt it can completely eliminate it, sorry.
Q: I'm using Windhelm Revert and it doesn't work! The grid is still messed up!
A: Place it below any other BDS patches in your load order.
Q: Is it safe to add/remove these mid-tier games?
A: There are no scripts and nothing is saved to the save game, so they can be safely added or removed at any time.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
