Belt Mounted Quiver Repositions the quiver and crossbow bolt to be more "backpack friendly" to the player and all NPCs. It also makes slight modifications to the position of the bow and crossbow to avoid clipping as much as possible with this new position, while still trying to draw the bow and quiver closer to the body than the default position. This file modifies the placement of quivers, crossbows, bows, and crossbows for all vanilla races and genders.
Now includes new arrow drawing animations by Ninivekha! Animations match new quiver position while standing, sneaking, and riding.

While it wasn't intended to be so, the visual design is similar to Dark Souls' quiver placement.
This file was originally intended as an optional add-on for Frostfall users. However, it's very popular on the Steam Workshop, so I decided to make it's own file here so I can track it easily.
This is a bone replacement for all races and genders. It also includes modifications to the Dawnguard's two bolt quiver meshes so that they mount correctly using the new quiver bone locations. Dawnguard is not required. Finally, it includes replacement .hkx files for drawing arrows while standing and sneaking.
Skeleton replacement user
Anyone is free to use the assets in this mod to create a composite skeleton that combines other skeleton elements. You are also free to redistribute the meshes and animations from this mod.
No, I'm not going to make a version of your favorite skeleton replacer (see below). There are so many of them that I decided to only personally support the default vanilla skeleton.
What to expect (expectation management)
This mod is provided as is, without requests. I won't modify it upon request. If you don't like the way it's positioned, you'll need to learn how to use NifSkope and change it yourself.
Cutting should be expected and unavoidable, and depends on several factors, including your race, gender, and worn armor, which can alter body posture. However, I'm happy with the results and I hope you will be too. It's 100% impossible to eliminate all armor and all quivers and all cloaks for all genders and all races. If your favorite quiver clashes badly with your favorite armor when playing with your favorite race/gender combination, my condolences. Some combinations are definitely better than others.
The problem is that small changes to the skeleton can have a big impact. Making one thing look good can make 10 other things look bad. Solving this problem is essentially an exercise in coming up with the best possible compromise.
To help illustrate my point, please see these images.
Here we have a Nord in steel armor, a fur cloak from Frostfall, a magic bow, and dwarf arrows. On the left is a female. Looks great, right? However, on the right, we switch Nord to male. Now, the tremors are a little more prominent. However, since the quiver on the male looks good in so many other contexts, I would be hesitant to change this.
Some quiver and crossbow bolts will float slightly. Probably less than what they do in vanilla. This is also inevitable. Here we have a Nord in Elven armor with some crossbow bolts.
Look how bad that float is! Chesko, lrn 2 mod! etc. Now, let's look at the same thing, but in steel armor.
Did you see that? There is barely any float. This means that fixing an issue with elven armor will cause bolts to get into your steel armor. These are the constraints I'm dealing with and I thought it would be helpful to tell you ahead of time what to expect. Under the current system, that's the best that can be hoped for. There may be some minor tweaks and improvements made over time, but they will be minor.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
