Replaced Khajiit and Argonian NPCs with more humane alternatives.
I've never been a fan of the Khajiit and Argonian NPCs in the Elville Scroll series, and the walking and talking cats and lizards were just too fantasy-like for me. In this mockup, I replaced it with a custom design based on the human looking race. I tried to give them some specific features, so it's obvious they are a different race in the game. Screenshots give the best example. These changes bring NPCs in line with CBBE and Better Males, as well as any armor worn by the human race.
I'm still testing the mod. If you encounter any bugs (especially if you see an NPC with a black face), please let me know and I'll check for a fix.
I will add additional files to change Khajiit and Argonian in other mods. If you have any requests or suggestions please let me know!

I never liked the Khajiit and Argonian NPC's in the Elder Scroll series, walking and talking cats and lizards are too much fantasy for my taste. In this mod I replaced them with a custom design based on human looking race. I tried to give them some specific features so it is still clear they are a different race within the game. The screenshots give the best examples. The changes keep the NPC's compatible with CBBE and Better Males, and any armor worn by human races.
I am still testing the mod. If you come across any bugs (specially if you see an NPC with a dark face), let me know and I'll check for a fix.
I will add extra files to change the Khajiit and Argonian within other mods too. If you have a request or suggestion, just let me know!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
