About this mod Machine translation

When the rebels capture the capital, the Imperial flag in "Solitude" will be replaced by a Stormcloak design

This mod updates certain banners in Silence after the Stormcloaks capture the city.

There are two types of plug-ins: ESP and ESPFE.

The texture "sbanner01sons.dds" included in the archive is from Alesandren's "Immersive Solitude Stormcloak" banner. It is a modified version of textures\architecture\solitude\sbanner01.dds and implemented as a textureset for these grid files in a new static object:

Meshs \ Architecture \ Solitude \ Clutter \ SBannerlMid01.nif

Grid\Building\Solidity\Clutter\SBannerlong01.nif

Grid\Building\Solidity\Clutter\SBannerlTall01.nif

The relevant raw reference to this static object list has been assigned to the enabled parent CWGarrisonEnableMarkerImperialSolitude [REFR:0002E1AE]:

SBannerlMid01 [STAT:000C65BF]

SBannerlong01 [STAT:000C5699]

SBannerlTall01 [STAT:000C5698]

USSEP's location edits have been forwarded to vanilla referees, and Stormcloak-aligned banners will also reflect the changes. The new banner's enable parent is CWGarrisonEnableMarkerSonsSolitude [REFR:0007E14C]

NOTE: The tall version of the banner appears white in the original setup, but I see that some of the vertices of "sbanner01.dds" have text or other designs added that may not apply to Stormcloak occupation (example: "Empire is the Law" (via LH's Network).

On the outside of the Holy Temple there are vanilla references to the tall banners that were used to decorate Victoria Veitch's wedding, I didn't edit these banners as they already served their purpose.

compatibility

No external objects are edited in this mod, but the City Overhaul Mod has the potential to add banners without mission awareness. I'm not interested in making patches, but users can upload their own.

This mod updates certain banners in Solitude once Stormcloaks have captured the city.

Plugin available as ESP and ESPFE.

The texture "sbanner01sons.dds" included in the archive is from Alesandren's Immersive Solitude Stormcloak Banners. It's a modified version of textures\architecture\solitude\sbanner01.dds and is implemented in new static objects as a textureset for these mesh files:

The relevant vanilla references of this list of static objects have been assigned the enable parent CWGarrisonEnableMarkerImperialSolitude [REFR:0002E1AE]:

Placement edits from USSEP have been forwarded for the vanilla refs and the Stormcloak-aligned banners will also reflect these changes. The enable parent for the new banners is CWGarrisonEnableMarkerSonsSolitude [REFR:0007E14C]

Note: The tall version of the banner appears white in a vanilla setup, but I have seen certain retexes of "sbanner01.dds" that add text or other designs which might not be appropriate for a Stormcloak occupation (example: "The Empire is the Law" from LH's retex).

There are vanilla references of the tall banner around the exterior of the Temple of the Divines which are used to decorate Vittoria Vici's wedding and I didn't edit those because they're already quest-enabled.

Compatibility

No exterior objects were edited in this mod, but there's a chance that city overhaul mods will add banners without quest-awareness. I'm not interested in making patches, but users can upload their own.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
