BBB4K - Better Brown Bread 4K

Willock's wonderfully friendly reinvention of bread

BBB4K is a small texture replacement for the bread placed around Skyrim.

The goal of this mod is to make the bread more rustic and realistic to suit Skyrim's theme, while also having a higher resolution and friendlier background.

Available in 4k, 2k and 1k sizes - vanilla HD textures are 1k.

As you know, Skyrim is set in a fantasy medieval world, and unlike today where fine white flour is plentiful and cheap, in medieval times white bread was rare and reserved for the nobility because milling white flour was a curiosity. A time-consuming and expensive process.

Therefore, the vast majority of people, especially farmers, eat bread made from unrefined whole wheat flour which is much cheaper.

This sounds stupid. Why should I care?

However, I guess you can also download this mod if you just want higher resolution textures for your bread in the game.

This should work with everything (tested well with SMIM grid); though obviously not compatible with any other mods

will change the texture of the bread - just put that file after that.

The goal of the mod is to make the loaves more rustic and realistic to fit Skyrim's theme whilst also being higher resolution and more lore-friendly.

Comes in 4k, 2k & 1k sizes - vanilla HD textures are 1k.

As I'm sure you're aware, Skyrim is set in a fanstasy medieval world, and unlike today where refined white flours are abundant and cheap, in medieval times white bread was a rarity and reserved for the nobility as milling white flour was a time-consuming and expensive process.

Because of this the vast majority of people, especially the peasantry, eat bread made from much cheaper un-refined wholewheat flour.
