About this mod Machine translation

This mod fixes various issues related to combat that have been unresolved for far too long. Fixes include, but are not limited to, adding a proper critical hit ratio that Bethesda didn't have, dishing out worthless damage, fixing attack speed and giving each weapon type a unique advantage.

This mod was created at the request of Doctordarkspawn.

So, what else can this mod do?

This is an overhaul of the light combat perk tree. It changes every perk in the perk tree for one-handed, two-handed, and archery to improve gameplay.

The main changes are to fix keys by giving them proper scaling, make bleed damage valuable, and fix speed effects when attacking

Stack, and change weapon types to have different advantages. More information below.

Warning: This mod requires a new game without any issues.

If you wish to use this mod on your current save, you will first need to use the perk respec mod. Once you reset your privileges and make a new save, you are free to install this mod in load order. You may or may not have some issues with NPCs and their perks, although that depends on your other mods.

If you decide to use your current save instead of making a new one, I recommend using Ish's respec mod.

So what does this mod even do?

It's a light combat perk tree overhaul. It makes changes to a several perks in each of the one-handed, two-handed, and archery perk trees in an attempt to improve gameplay.

The main changes are fixing critical hits by giving them proper scaling, making bleed damage worth something, fixing attack speed effects when

stacked, and changing weapon types to have different strengths. More info below.

Warning: This mod requires a new game to be used without any issues.

If you wish to use this mod with your current save, then you'll need to first use a perk respec mod. After resetting your perks and making a new save then you're free to install this mod in your load order. You may or may not run into a few issues with npc's and their perks though depending on your other mods.

I suggest using Ish's respec mod if you decide to use your current save instead of making a new one.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
