About this mod Machine translation
Azure Mist obscures the distant landscape and sea of ghosts with a thick volumetric mist. It does this while retaining near-end sharpness and without introducing linear sky artifacts (as seen on its predecessor).
This is a rebuild from scratch of mod Volumetric Mists created by Robanco. Why do we need a remake? The original mod introduced linear banding artifacts into the sky and excessive near-end haze. Azurite Fog features a new model that is transparent unless viewed from above or from a distance, which not only eliminates these linear artifacts but also restores near-end detail while blurring the distant landscape. Additionally, the mod features more detailed fog placement, focusing on the many valleys of Skyrim and the Ghost Sea.
Compatible with all weather mods. Compatible with Cresty's Mists. Robanco's Volumetric Mists are redundant, but technically compatible. The Mists of Tamriel (including Robanco's Volumetric Mists) are also redundant in this regard, but with other features like MannyGT's Morning Mists, it's a nice addition
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
