Ax's RS Kids Adjustments
This mod improves upon the excellent RS Children mod, editing over a dozen NPCs.
My intention was to add more variety for the kids and adjust the hairstyles to be more suitable for "vanilla" play.
Target
Variety - RSC has made some great improvements to add variety to Vanilla Potato Kids, but they are still very similar. I try to make every NPC I edit unique and instantly recognizable.
Dirt - The RSC textures are really nice, but they stand out a little bit for my eyes, so I added dirt and freckles where possible to add interest to the texture and break up the shine a bit - hopefully not making them look too old. Plus, these are the kids of Skyrim who are playing outside and getting attacked by dragons.
Vanilla Hair - The reason I started making this mod was to swap out Apachii Skyhair for a vanilla style and I'm taken away :)
Currently editing...
Hroar - Lars Battleborn - Aventus Aretino - Samuel - Britte - Sissel - Gralnach - Braith - Babette - Fjotra - Skuli - Blaise - Alesan - Sond - Bottar - Sofie - Lucia...more...
As of 05/05/2018 I've reached the point where I've completed the limited creation kit/in-game sculpting and it's hard to make the kid look different. So I doubt I'll be adding more children until the Racemenu mod is fully functional for SE. Then I'll be able to add sticky ears, chubby cheeks and a soft chin.

FAQ
Q: I have blackface worms.
A. *throws at the front of the bus*
Q: What eye texture did you use for Babette on that photo?
A: I'm not really sure, I think it was a texture I grabbed years ago and tweaked it. I think it's the XCE's vamp eyes, I made them redder.
Q: Lars looks like a whiny little ass.
A. Lars is a whiny little ass, bless him.
Q: Can you 'X'?
A. *screams*
Q: 'X' doesn't look like a child anymore.
A: It's harder than it looks and I tried my best. I'm open to suggestions on this and if you think there's someone who really looks like it let me know who it is and why.
Q: Why are there no Orc/Elf/Khajiit or Argonian children?
A: I don't know, they should have been around since their launch in 2011. I edited RSC instead of other mods that include these because I like it better. Unfortunately.
Q: Are their heads too big?
A: The RSC larger head option is optional and not required for my mod to run - it's up to you what you think is best.
Q: Can I upload this mod or its derivatives to other websites?
A. No, exclusive (this mod is based on other people's work).
Q: Your mods have terrible names.
A: I actually wanted to call it 'Axes RS Extension' but realized that was a bad idea.
Q: I don't like 'X's face.
Answer: Great.
Q: Can I port it to Oldrim?
A: I don't use /mod oldrim anymore - so if anyone wants to do that, I fully allow mods to be ported to oldrim and uploaded to (and only, I don't allow uploading to other sites like bethesda.net). Of course, appropriate due credit must be given and a link to this mod page provided.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
