Granite Mountain - three farms and an inn, just north of Falkreath. The market is held weekly. - Investigation into Jarl Gjalund Holdings
Granite Mountain is mentioned in several places in the legend and existed before the Fourth Age. However, apart from the dragon mound where Vuljotnaak was buried in ancient times, nothing remains of the Skilim in 4E 201. That's all well and good, but with no explanation of what might have happened at this location, it felt like a good enough opportunity to tell my own version of events. With this mod, the 3 farms and the inn are back, but the town has a blacksmith instead of a weekly market. Of course, that couldn't be fate, could it? From the moment Alduin burned Helgen, Granite Hill's fate was sealed. Of course, the Beast and his newly resurrected allies didn't stop there...
feature:
- A fully working town from before Alduin returned. 3 farms, an inn and a blacksmith. Plus Falkreath Hold's Town Guard patrol.
*After Alduin resurrects Vuljotnaak, the village will be in flames. This will continue as long as the dragon lives.
*After the death of the dragon, the fire will be extinguished, but now the town lies in ruins, devoured by the world-eater.
Installation requirements
Skyrim Special Edition 1.5.62 or higher.
Do not extract the contents of the BSA file into the Data folder as loose files, or have the mod manager perform an equivalent function on the file contents. Doing this will cause things to load in the wrong order and break the game. Skyrim is designed to load BSA as well as its ESM/ESP files. Bypassing this will cause issues that I won't provide support for. If you persist in opposing this suggestion, you will not be supported by the problems that will arise from it.
Installation - Wrye Bash BAIN
Drag and drop the archive into the Skyrim Special Edition Mods\Bash Installers folder and install as usual.
Make sure the mod is active in the Wrye Bash mods tab.
Installation - Mod Manager / Vortex
Use the "Download with Manager" button on the Skyrim page. The installer should take care of things from there.
Then just make sure it has the mod activated.
Installation manual
Place the .esp, .bsa and - Textures.bsa files into the Data folder.
Activate the mod using the management tool that works for you.
uninstall
Due to the nature of Skyrim mods, especially those that add scripts, it is strongly recommended not to attempt to uninstall mods from the active game. Any mod that is more than a pure mesh or texture replacement risks leaving permanent changes on your save that you may not want. This is not something modders can correct. This is how Bethesda designs its games. Support will not be provided for anyone who uninstalls this mod from the active game and continues on that save.
Removing the mod: Remove Fall of Granite Hill.esp, Fall of Granite Hill.bsa and Fall of Granite Hill - Textures.bsa from the Data folder. Then reload your game as usual.
Load order
LOOT should be used for optimal placement.
compatibility
Will be compatible with any other mods editing the area around Granite Hill.
Known issues
Activities in the town depend on the status of the Dragon Hill Center. These mounds do not always perform well, and towns may never trigger an active burning phase. Also keep in mind that if you install it where Vuljotnaak is already dead, all you will see is ruins.
It is possible to encounter remaining predators in areas that were created before being replaced by tamed animals. Nothing can be done but kill them.
integral
Hana - Destroyed versions of the Blacksmith and Farmhouse04 meshes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
