About this mod Machine translation

As you level up your skills, your health, stamina, magic and carrying weight are automatically increased.

This mod will automatically increase your health, stamina, magic, and carry weight as you upgrade your skills.

Here's how it works:

*Warrior skills add half a point to health per level, 1/6 point for Stamina and Magicka.

*The Thief skill increases Stamina by half a point per level, while Health and Magicka increase by 1/6 point.

*Mage skills add half a point to Magicka per level, and 1/6 point to health and stamina.

*Each stamina point earned adds one point to your carry weight.

This script is lightweight and only runs when the game is loaded or when a skill is upgraded.

Should be compatible with anything that does not modify the base property value. As such, it may not be compatible with classic Elder Scrolls attributes, intelligent automatic attribute leveling, or natural character growth and decay.

Please note that this mode is currently in beta and may not be fully balanced.

Future plans:

Added option to control attribute growth rate on a per-skill basis.

Add multipliers to make attributes grow faster or slower

Potentially implement SPERG functionality, allowing attributes to grow based on consumption.

Potentially implement natural character growth and decay features

Implement MCM menu

There are several mods for Oldrim that automatically increase your attributes as you improve your skills. However, none of it has been ported to the Special Edition, except for the smart automatic attribute leveling, which I don't like. So, I looked at these different mods and tried to find one with port-friendly permissions and usable source code. What I found was natural character growth and decay with this permission, so I ported it. However, its slow progression made it too harsh for my tastes, so I opted to create my own attribute growth model from scratch.

This mod causes your Health, Stamina, Magicka, and Carry Weight to increase automatically when you level up your skills.

It works as follows:

  • Warrior skills add half a point to Health each rank, and 1/6 a point to Stamina and Magicka.
  • Thief skills add half a point to Stamina each rank, and 1/6 a point to Health and Magicka.
  • Mage skills add half a point to Magicka each rank, and 1/6 a point to Health and Stamina.
  • Each point of Stamina gained will add one point to your Carry Weight.

The script is lightweight, and runs only when loading a game or when a skill levels up.

Should be compatible with anything that doesn't modify the base attribute values.  So, it is likely not going to be compatible with Classic Elder Scrolls Attributes, Smart Automatic Attribute Leveling, or Natural Character Growth and Decay.

Please note that this mode is in beta right now, so it may not be completely balanced.

Future Plans:

Add options to control attribute growth rates on a per-skill basis.

Add multipliers to make attribute growth faster or slower

Potentially implement SPERG feature that allows attributes to grow based on food eaten.

Potentially implement features from Natural Character Growth and Decay

Implement an MCM menu

Oldrim had several mods which caused your attributes to automatically increase as you leveled up your skills.  However, none of those were ported to Special Edition except for Smart Automatic Attribute Leveling, which I disliked.  So, I looked though these various mods and tried to find one with porting-friendly permissions and available source code.  The one I found with such permissions was Natural Character Growth and Decay, so I ported that.  However, its slow progression made it too grindy for my tastes, so I chose to create my own attribute growth mod from scratch.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
