describe
This mod contains a SKSE plugin for activating stealth mode when the player is crouching and jumping when the player is jumping.
The height can be configured from the AutoSneakVR.ini file.
If you play VR games room disabled and want physical stealth and/or if you want to jump into real life jumping games, this is the mod you want.
When the headset's height is below the HeightChangeThreshold, it sends Ctrl key input to SkyrimVR.
When the headset is higher than the JumpThreshold, it sends Space key input to SkyrimVR.
It will automatically make Skyrim VR the active window if it has not been closed yet.
You can disable/enable AutoSneak and AutoJump functionality from the configuration file as needed.
I made this for myself because I don't use NaLo and I disabled the vr playroom in the ini and when I hold down the MageVR's grab button I get the candid mode activated. Thought I'd share for others with the same or similar situation. Now you can use something like the Controller Remap mod to disable jump and sneak input.
If you have any requests, suggestions, ideas, please post them. Don't hold back!
Require
SKYRIMVR
SKSEVR latest version.
It also requires you to set this for AutoSneak:
[VR]
fSneakHeightPercent = 0
In the SkyrimVR.ini file. This way it will automatically switch to stealth mode and not change the player's height strangely.
configuration
This mod has a mod configuration file in "SKSE\Plugins\AutoSneakVR.ini"
You can find more information in the ini comments.
[set up]
sleep The duration between height checks, in milliseconds. Integer value. Lower values increase responsiveness.
CheckSleepDuration = 50
Set this to 0 to disable auto-stealth functionality.
AutoSneak = 1
This is the crouch height in meters to activate stealth in the game. Decimal value. For some, scaling may not be the same as real life meters, but that's what profiles are for.
HeightChangeThreshold = 1.45
Set this to 0 to disable the auto-jump feature.
AutoJump = 1
Height activates jumping in meters. Decimal value. Set this value higher than normal, but take into account headphone height offset. I am 1.77 meters and this value works for me.
JumpThreshold = 1.65
This prints the current hmd height in the log file. Can be used for testing to find a value that works for you. The configuration file is located at: "My Documents\My Games\Skyrim VR\SKSE\AutoSneakVRPlugin.log"

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
