introduce
Audio Overhaul - Immersive Sound Integration is a standalone plugin that combines two modules. The plug-in has been designed to support the more powerful elements of the project while providing a cohesive and consistent package, rather than merging all the sounds together as in previous attempts to replace the provided sounds. Although the choice is mostly my own (and therefore subjective), this patch is highly recommended for users of both mods. This is because Skyrim's Immersive Sound and Audio Overhaul won't completely overlap, and you may miss content from one of them if you choose not to include it in your load order.

Why are patches separated?
Patches have been separated to support a basic mod manager and easy to update files. If you're tracking AOS, you probably don't want to update with every patch. Does this mean development will continue on this update? no promises.

Feature list
For the most part, ISC and AOS are equal in each sound category. However, one mod may take precedence over another in terms of influence. Weapon sounds are mostly handled by ISC. However, AOS also edits the dagger weapon records to make them have a quieter impact (daggers are not longswords). Use this list to get a general idea of what you'll get from each mod when looking at these categories.

David Jegutidse, incredible designer and creator of Skyrim's audio overhaul. David was a pioneer in breaking the way Skyrim audio was processed and created such an incredible set of now-iconic and memorable sounds that thousands of people are still using their load sequences to this day. He created one of the most extensive environmental soundscapes ever produced for a game and helped fix many bugs and resolve unintended oversights in the game. Thank you for your contribution and for allowing me to continue developing this mod to make it as complete as possible.
lazygecko Gecko helped push Skyrim's audio mods into a new category, incorporating extensive customization and new technology into its immersive sounds. Their mod brings new ideas, features an incredibly clean and professional sound design, and expands the game beyond what previous mods would do (replace existing sounds). Their work on ISC has provided major inspiration for my own work, and their contributions to the community cannot be overlooked in this article.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
