About this mod Machine translation
Sostium's cities, buildings, and debris should be covered in ash. Now they are.
Ever wonder why those barrels and crates on Crow Rock are completely clean amid the ash-filled environment?
What about those abandoned, half-destroyed farms? Talwani Tower?
No? Well, I did it. What have I done.
What does this model do?
Adds dust to many buildings and objects in Sossium. In some cases I created and applied a custom ash shader so the effect looked more natural. All ashes!

Known issues/limitations
Rather than editing the normal statics directly - which would cause compatibility issues with shells or other mods that use these assets - I replaced all relevant normal statics with my own overridden statics. Bonus: No ash showing up in places you don’t want to see it. Disadvantages: If you want the settlement expansion models to be as gray as the original models, then they may need a patch.
Some lootable urns in Raven Rock have been replaced with static versions (cannot have ashes on the container). I gave them varying amounts of coverage so the lootable ones I left behind should still blend well.
Mushroom trees do not grow ash. -Quietly sobbing-I'm trying, but I don't know why.

WHAT THIS MOD DOES

KNOWN ISSUES/LIMITATIONS
Rather than directly edit vanilla statics -- running into compatibility problems with housing or other mods that use those assets -- I replaced all of the relevant vanilla statics with my own ash-covered ones. Upside: No ash showing up where you don't want it to. Downside: Settlement expansion mods may need patches if you want them to be as ashy as the originals.
Some of the lootable urns in Raven Rock were replaced with static versions (containers can't have ash applied to them). I gave them varying amounts of coverage so the ones I left lootable should still blend in well.
The mushroom trees won't show ash. -quiet sobbing- I'm working on it but I don't know why.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
