About this mod Machine translation
The fastest arrows/bolts and true gravity for a feel closer to a real bow, the exquisite Warbow - a longbow with greater damage compared to Imperial bows.
NEW: This mod is for PC Mustard Rice, but I won't forget the first time I tried landing Skyrim on PS3 and was a little proud to be a pheasant host :) Archery is now available on Bethesda.net for XBox and PS4!
The purpose of this mod is not to give you the speed and flat trajectory of a gun bullet, but to get closer to the feel of a real bow and arrow.
After playing real bow and arrow for a few years, the arrow speed in Skyrim is disturbingly slow. I averaged 209fps using a recurve and longbow with 45lb draw tension. Hunting bows average 60/70 lbs - 230/260fps (depending on arrow weight and spine).
I changed the projectile velocity from 3600 to 6500 5553 and the gravity from 0.35 (near moon) to 0.981 (earth).
All arrows have been changed. You can use test range with "oxArcheryTestRange 0,-1"
All testing done in the game with real bows and test scopes are strictly scientific and completely inaccurate!
If someone with good archery knowledge has a better idea, I'll be happy to tweak this mod.
Crossbow bolts are faster. But there are the worst things about flying over long distances. The initial bolt flew straight, defying Newton's laws. If you play Wilhelm Tell, be prepared for a little disappointment: at short distances (10/25m) the bolt is slightly higher than the arrow, and at long distances (75/100m) it is slightly lower.
Differences between v.2.4 and v.2.5:
Arrow speed was 6500 in v.2.4 - but only 5553 in v.2.5
The v.2.5 version is definitely closer to the real thing and forces you to aim higher at long range. Shooting at an estimated distance of 60 meters is now more challenging. You can clearly see the trajectory of the bell.
Bolt speed is the same.
To get the fantasy feel, download v.2.4
For more realistic searches, download v.2.5
Download only one version. With Mod Organizer, it is possible to download both versions, just don't forget to install them with different names (only one can be activated on the left panel due to laziness - the .esp shares the same name).
Many thanks to antcodd for the help with cell lengths! I finally found the correct settings.
Archery is included in T'Skyrim True Skyrim, without the war bow.
change
*My ugly texture now only appears on warbows and no longer appears on all longbows
- Gravity is now 0,981. Aim higher from a distance.
-Arrows are faster (5553)
-Cross bow now obeys Newton's laws of gravity and is faster (8100).
-New bows based on the longbow: bows with slightly enhanced damage
-Added gamepad vibration on war bow.
- New arrow recipe under Steel category: War Arrow, slightly faster (5653) and more staggered
The first version counts towards game progress. I moved towards my goal in my garden at a pace of 17 - 14 meters. There is no good stuff in the game! I used a new experience unit: the bed (B). Since the bed is approximately 2.2 meters, the units in the Creation Kit can be easily measured. Estimated size of the plot: 50 metres. 58 meters
I placed the target and adjusted the projectile velocity to 6500 and gravity to 0,981. Arrows are very loud, all arrows are now silent (but enemies will hear the effect, but not much difference). Adjusted speed for v.2.5
To try a test range, just type in the console: cow ArcheryTestRange 0,-1. The distances written in the book are no longer accurate!
By the way, two .dds files were added, the Flemish strings for the longbow. I'm not a good painter - they were made from photos of my longbows. They should appear when you see or use this bow. If you don't see longbows anymore, it's my fault.
Thank you for your attention.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
