Enchanted Arrows enabled/disabled in MCM

Enchant your arrows with spells or rare rings. Any arrow (including modded and DLC) can be charmed in 4 basic types: Fire, Ice (Frost), Magic and Shock. The damage you will do depends on your enchantment skills and can be set in the MCM. The enchantment will display FX on your quiver when your bow is sheathed, and it will display FX on the arrows when your bow is out. The "Enchanted Arrow" spell sheet can be found in any destruction spell vendor (e.g. Farengar @Dragonsreach, Faralda @The Winterhold, etc.). If you wish, you can distribute themes via script to avoid mode conflicts and remove them from the game.

4 rings can be found on specific enemies: Dragon Priests (Ring of the Dragon - 100% chance), Wispmothers (Ring of Wispmother - 100% chance), Mages (Ring of Aetherius - 10% chance, Ring of Wamasu - 10% chance). The ring will automatically charge your arrows by draining your magic. If your magic is too low, the arrow won't charge; at least until you fire again or re-equip the ring.

Bleed and persistent arrows enabled/disabled in MCM

All arrows now cause bleed, dealing damage over time that lasts 30 seconds. Bleeding does not cause death, and it stops dealing damage when the target reaches 10% health. Bleed damage scales with the target's level, so you'll see consistent damage as you advance through the game. Arrows (and projectile spells) will remain in the target indefinitely and can be removed from themselves and NPCs using a new ability called "Remove Projectile". With this ability, you can collect some of the arrows you've shot. If you wish, you can set a hotkey in MCM to quickly control this content, saving you the trouble of browsing menus.

Enable/disable bow camera and crosshair in MCM

Normally, you have two options for your third-person camera: idle and combat. This mod introduces a third camera position for bows only. When you draw and aim your bow, you'll see the camera pan to the third position (as shown in the strap-fastened arrow video). When using a bow, not only does the camera change position, but the third-person crosshair also moves into place. Using this system, you can set the camera anywhere you like and still have an accurate crosshair. Both the camera and crosshair have specific settings for stealth, non-sneaking and transition speed in MCM.

If you want to use these two features along with the following mods, please follow these instructions:

iHud - Disable "Force crosshair hiding" in MCM (does not interfere with iHud hiding the crosshair, this setting just disables the crosshair from ever resetting)

Customizable Camera - Disable "Adaptive Sneak" in MCM (this will just make switching stealth look smoother, you can turn it on if you like)

Arm fatigue enable/disable in MCM

Drawing with your bow really does take its toll. This mod adds a bit of vibration to the camera and controller when your bow is drawn. After a while, your arms will start to move faster. Eventually, the shaking will become so intense that your stamina will begin to run out. The total draw time corresponds to your archery skill; you can view it in the MCM in the Statistics tab.

Miscellaneous improvements

There are also a number of minor changes that improve gameplay for archers and other archers:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
