To use it, just run ``help Cosmetic'' and then ``player.additem xx000D62 1''.
An item named [Cosmetic Replacement] will appear in your armor inventory. Equip or unequip to reveal the container, then move the item you want to equip there. You can change or retrieve them at any time.
Oh, and you don't have to worry about stats, all stats, enchantments, and enabled perks of the equipped armor in your inventory will be retained.
I will try to fix bugs or make QoL improvements, but assuming this is the final release, no maintenance will be done other than keeping up to date with skse.
Use at your own risk.
Description of the original mod:
There's a lot of nice armor and clothing around on and other sites. However, many of them don't actually work properly due to their stats. I've seen a few mods that use many different methods to try to correct this. The most useful is Transmogrification/CopyArmor. However, this gear is very limited (only supports helmets, breastplates, gloves, boots, and shields), buggy (works by changing the armor's properties, so other NPCs wearing that armor get the same boost), and clunky - equip the armor, click in the MCM, equip strong armor, click some more, re-equip nice armor.
Appearance rewrites are different. It's easier to use - player.additem xx000D62 1 (sorry!), equip it, put some armor in your newly opened inventory and you're good to go. There's no limit - you can't wear more than 32 items of makeup at a time, but that's not a major limitation, and it can't be fixed. The only known bug is that if you equip two cosmetics in the same slot (like two pairs of gloves), weird things can happen, but we'll call that a feature. ...I'm not good at writing descriptions. And I don't know how to show this mod with screenshots.

There are a lot of nice-looking armors and clothes around, both and other sites. However, due to their stats, a lot of them can't really be used for normal play. I've seen a few mods that attempt to rectify this, using many different approaches; the most useful being Transmogrification/CopyArmor. However, that one is very limited (only supports helmets, cuirasses, gloves, boots, and shields), buggy (it works by changing the stats on armors, so other NPCs wearing that armor gets the same boosts) and very clunky - equip nice armor, click around in MCM, equip strong armor, click around some more, re-equip nice armor.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
