Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition
By TheLastBrunnenG
Inspired by Adolon's "Books Books Books" mod. The author of this model added Morrowind, Oblivion and Daggerfall's suicide notes. But I know there are many more Elder Scrolls books from earlier and more obscure games, so there you go.
I have added over 40 collections of books, letters and notes:
ElderScrolls Travels:Shadowkey
ElderScrolls Adventures:Redguard
ElderScrolls Legend:Battlespire
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
How to get added books:
The books have been added to the flat loot list, so they appear randomly among treasure and clutter.
All of these can be purchased from Belethor in Whiterun. As a general merchandise merchant, he usually sells a few books, so you'll see his usual selection as well as these additional books. If you need to repurchase them, they will eventually respawn.
In Belethor's shop, there is a cabinet to the right of the counter where you can find all the books for free. Once photographed, they will not respawn.
notes:
The texts of these books were copied from the UESP and the Imperial Library.
I tried not to overlap with "Books Books Books", so if you don't see the item described here (e.g. some books are found in both Redguard and Morrowind) then it's probably that mod.
To do:
Added missing images to the book originally shipped with it.
Add additional text from the arena.
Added Skyrim books and notes from UESP's "Unobtainable Items" list.
Place them in appropriate, specific locations in the game world, not just random loot or in Belethor's inventory.
No, I didn't add the Redguard comic book for game reading. It can be downloaded for free from several places online.
No, I did not add the Elder Scrolls Online books. There are hundreds of them and I don't have time to remove the ESO-specific ones. But if anyone does add the mod to Skyrim, please let me know!
Install:
Use Mod Manager to download and activate it from NMM.
or
Place in your data folder and view more books in the launcher.
uninstall:
Deactivate it from NMM.
or
Uncheck More Books in the launcher and delete the .ESP from the Data folder.
Optional files:
The "optional file" download is not a mod at all. It is a collection of these e-books for offline reading, including books from Shadowkey, Redguard, and Battlespire. Includes .MOBI files for Kindle readers, .EPUB files for most other readers, and .PDF files for everyone. Download it, open the ZIP file, and read it using any app you like (I like Caliber).
Require:
No. There are no requirements other than vanilla Skyrim.
conflict:
No one knows.
If you use a high-resolution book cover replacement, it may affect these additional books as well. They all use vanilla Skyrim book art.
Anything covering Belethor's hidden merchant chest, shop cabinet, or BooksClutter level loot list may make it more difficult to find these books in the game world. Try placing this mod at the bottom of the load order.
integral:
Inspired by Bethesda, UESP, Imperial Library and Adolon.

1.0. Initial version.

Yet More Books
for Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition

Inspired by Adolon’s “Books Books Books” mod. The author of that mod added missing books from Morrowind, Oblivion, and Daggerfall. But I knew there were still more Elder Scrolls books from earlier and more obscure games, so here you go.
I added 40+ collectible books, letters, and notes from:
The ElderScrolls Travels: Shadowkey
The ElderScrolls Adventures: Redguard
An ElderScrolls Legend: Battlespire
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
How to obtain the added books:
These books have all been added to leveled loot lists, so they’ll show up randomly among treasure and clutter.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
