Texture replacement for spell runes from the original game and Dragonborn DLC
I've been playing around with GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) SE's replacement spell runes; Fireborn, Frost and Shock and the Dragonborn DLC; Ash, Frenzy and Poison.
I like the look of them, they appear in the game nicely, they should work for LE, and they are all saved in DXT5 compressed format.
The runes are from a GIMP brush I got from Obsidian Dawn
Inside the folder,
Textures/DLC02/Effects/
runeash01.dds
runefrenzy01.dds
runepoison01.dds
Texture/Effect
runefire01.dds
runefrost01.dds
runeshock01.dds
Txt file with credits back to the original creator of the brush
If you like them, please acknowledge it means a lot. Thanks and enjoy.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
