Dual Wielding, increasing weapon speed when alternating attacks
Alternate dual weapon speed
By Aerobar
summary
This is my first mod
Dual Wielding only provides a benefit via the Dual Flurry Perk, but even that does nothing to encourage alternating your attacks, so I made a mod to do just that.
When attacking with a right/left hand weapon, your left/right hand weapon is slightly more powerful, but significantly faster.
how does this work
I've changed all playable races (hopefully) attack data for attackStart and attackStartLeftHand to cast custom spells to temporarily increase WeaponSpeedMult or LeftWeaponSpeedMult.
It's like creatures like disease and stupidity
compatibility
I've copied the changes to Races from Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patch 4.1.1 (recommended by Unedjis), so when it comes out later in the load order, the only changes should be the attack data as mentioned above.
This does not work with custom races, or if another mod changes the race.
Feel free to let me know about other mod conflicts.
Manual installation

Summary
This is my first ever mod
Dual Wielding only provides a benefit thanks to the Dual Flurry Perk, but even that does nothing to encourage alternating your attacks so I made a mod that does just that.
With this mod when you make an attack with your Right/Left hand weapon your Left/Right hand weapon is slightly, but noticeably faster.
How It Works
I've changed the all the playable races (hopefully) attack data for attackStart and attackStartLeftHand to cast a custom spell to increase the WeaponSpeedMult or LeftWeaponSpeedMult temporarily.
This is the same way diseases work with creatures like skeevers
Compatibility
I've duplicated the changes to Races made by Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch 4.1.1 (As recommened by Unedjis) so when it comes later in the load order, the only change should be to the attack data as above.
This won't work with custom races, or if another mod alters the races.
Feel free to let me know about other mod clashes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
