Original mod description:
Lite version
This mod adds six new area spells to the game. New area spells renovate schools and have new visual effects. Three of them are regular wards but are changing. Then there are 3 new wards where you cast a ward once and gain ward isolation for x seconds. The effect is a green-orange animated ward effect that is consistent with the other altered color schemes but still looks unique.
Spelltome location
Brittleshin Pass, southwest of Whiterun. Inside you will find a Necromancer, and near him will be a charming table. Spells and diaries about their development are on the charming table.
Install
Requirements: None, just Skyrim 1.9
Mod manager installation: Use the mod manager to install normally.
Loading order: Doesn't matter except for patches that affect spells. Vanilla objects are not modified.
uninstall
First make sure to cancel the spell from this mod and make sure there are no magic effects showing in the magic effects menu. Save and exit the game. Remove the mod by uninstalling it in the mod manager. Load the game and save again.
describe
This mod adds six wards for apprentice, adept and expert level changes. They also take advantage of appropriate modification fees to reduce casting costs. Wards are more powerful (they are designed to be played with NPC spell-modifying mods such as Enemy and Deadly Dragon's Revenge).
The old Transformed Ward blocks incoming magic (up to 75/125/175 points) and gives a small armor buff (40/60/80).
The new spell called "Alterion's Barrier" blocks 50/80/110 magic damage for 6/7/8 seconds! To maintain balance, there are no armored components. These new wards will recharge themselves unless they are temporarily overwhelmed, unlike regular wards. They cast instantly, you just click, no charging required. To compensate, their magicka costs slightly more, but is still available and balanced around you for the appropriate perks to keep the cost down.
The changes already have a lot of meta-magic elements, like magic resistance, so how killer this mod is is really up to you.
The ward is located on Brittleshin Pass, southwest of Whiterun. Inside you will find a Necromancer, and near him will be a charming table. Spells and diaries about their development are on the charming table.
compatibility
Vanilla ward is not affected in any way and esp should not cause any conflicts unrelated to cell editing.
It may conflict with mods that edit Brittleshinpass01 cells. Other items may conflict if placed on that charming table. However, I don't know of any popular mods. If you're running a mod that patches spells like Perma/Skyre, you may want to adjust their skyproc settings if their mana cost/magnitude is high or low.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
