I recently completed the mod's main quest and yes, did notice that the town (actually an Imperial colony) was baking in the sun. The heat in this place would be enough to kill it if it were immersed.
What I did was fire up CK, collect some tree resources from GKB and get to work.
As a result, I added a lot of plants in and around the colony, and a few more in other oases scattered across the desert... just like Skyrim Plant Overhaul does for the rest of the game.
But since this is a work in progress, I still have to look for other locations to plant more palms. Some of you who watched The Mummy Returns may also like some of the little touches I added to Oasis of Mora Sul.
Palm trees and some vegetation are now added to the following areas:
The town of Ben Eli and its surroundings
wild oasis
light box
ancient alic house
South Mora Oasis
You can consider increasing the planting area in the future.

I've recently finished the mod's main quest, and yeah, did noticed that the town (an Imperial colony, really) was being baked in the sun. Immersion-wise, that much heat in this place is enough to kill.
What I did was to fire up CK, gather some of GKB's tree resources and went to work.
As a result, I've added a lot of flora in and around the colony, plus some more in the other oasis scattered across the desert... Just like what Skyrim Flora Overhaul does for the rest of the game.
But as this is a WIP I still have to find other spots to plant more palms. Some of you who watched The Mummy Returns may also love the little touches I added to the Oasis of Mora Sul.
The following areas now have palms and some vegetation added:
In and around the town of Ben Erai
Wild oasis
Lamp Houses
Ancient Alikr House
Oasis of Mora Sul
More areas may be considered later for adding vegetation.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
