An alchemist in Skyrim must trek through mountains, through blizzards, through swamps, and keep an eye on her working reagents with soft hands and keen eyes. But who's to say she doesn't look good doing it? Vanilla mashup armor mod with Frostfall compatibility and light/costume versions. Women only.
There are a lot of great protective gear mods around. However, in searching, I couldn't find anything suitable for my character. I wanted something that looked like it belonged in Skyrim, but had some unique flair. Something practical, but with a feminine touch. Above all, something that combines the aesthetics of the mage and the traveler, like an alchemist traveling both worlds in her work.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands and do something about it. It's a vanilla mashup of Thieves' Guild armor, Mages' Guild Apprentice robes, Barkeeper costume sleeves, and Blacksmith's tights sleeves to cover up any shoulder gaps. Of course, these have been recolored/decorated to look fit for an alchemist's work, with hand-painted "embroidery" on the skirt and mantle. Secondary parts - including gloves, boots, hood and cape - have also been appropriately painted to match. This cloak comes from the amazing Skyrim Cloak mod which generously provides assets for crafting armor. Thanks!
Each piece can be crafted on a tanning rack, and the light armor can also be tempered. They are both compatible with Frostfall and have a good mix of coverage/warmth, although leaning more toward the former. I hope your alchemist finds this unique outfit because "alchemist" is more than a title or a profession - it's a way of life. I wish you all the best and may Kyne smile on your work out in the wild!
current notes
The sleeves were slightly pinched by the cloak. I've tried to reduce the cape as much as possible to avoid this, so unfortunately I think that's what it is.
This mod is currently not compatible with CBBE/Bodyslide. I'd like to change it and will try to do it in the future, but frankly I'm struggling so far. If anyone wants to build a CBBE/Bodyslide port, feel free! All I'm asking is that you let me know and share the file so I can distribute it here.
Thank you for looking, downloading and approving!

I wanted something that looked like it belonged in Skyrim, but also had a bit of unique flair. Something practical, but with a feminine touch. And most of all, something that combined the aesthetics of the mage and the traveller, much the same way an alchemist walks both worlds in her work.
So, I decided to whip up something of my own. This is a vanilla mash-up of the Thieves Guild armor, the Mages Guild apprentice robes, the barkeeper outfit sleeves, and the blacksmith tighter sleeves to cover up any shoulder gap. The cloak comes from the ever-amazing Cloaks of Skyrim mod, which generously offers their assets for armor creation. Thank you!

Current notes
There's some minor clipping of the sleeves into the cloak. I've pared down the cloak as much as I can to avoid this, so unfortunately at this point I think that's just how it is.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
