About this mod Machine translation
This is a journal containing all your investigations and will be updated as you progress through your alchemy.
describe
This is a journal that contains information on the effects of all investigated ingredients and will be updated as you progress in alchemy.
It cannot be used as a cheat as it only contains known effects.
How to get
It can be crafted on a sunbathing stand and comes with 3 paper rolls and 1 leather.
compatibility
Should be compatible with everything - custom ingredients, effects, "learn alchemy from recipes" mod, it doesn't matter how you learn the effects.
If you are rebuilding with a Full Crafting Overhaul, enable Tools & Utilities so that the Watchmaker's Diary is visible in the Tanning Rack menu.
A note on translation
The file alchemistjournal_<language>_2.txt must have the same encoding as that used in esp. It's usually a specific codepage for Skyrim LE and Utf-8 for Skyrim SE.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
