Not Enemy AI Overhaul
Do you live in a densely populated city and notice that NPCs are a bit dull and robotic?
Well, you've stumbled upon a mod that solves many of these problems and further increases the immersion and realism of the game.
Tired of NPCs acting like robots doing the same thing every day?
-Why they say they do things but don't actually._
-Why do some people randomly say meaningless things to you?
- If a vampire enters the city, why does everyone join in the fight?
- Isn’t it strange that people are wandering the streets after 12 midnight? Or staying up at 3am because they didn't get anything done. (for most people)Â
Overview:
-WIP project
- Very noticeable tweaks and rewrites to many vanilla NPC AI
- Realistic behavior
- Fixed bed time
- their own thoughts. For God's sake, no more robots!
- No scripts used.
NOTE: - Not every NPC will have their AI adjusted for certain tasks and play purposes

AI adjustments and behavior:
"Both branches and programs can be conditional, and you can create very complex switches to route AI behavior."
Every day in Skyrim is a unique day for (almost) everyone
- When NPCs are free, they can do anything. It's not like the sandbox is an area where they can really do anything. They may be in different parts of the city, shopping or at home
- Not every NPC will greet you randomly. I mean doesn't everyone I walk by in my life stop to say hello to me?
- NPCs interact more with their surroundings. They may read a letter or book, search the container, drink, eat, observe, etc.
- Fixed bedtime time. Beggars now sleep on the streets, or in tavern basements. Most people will be home between 10-12pm
- Most Npcs will not participate in combat. They will be safe from danger. (Any danger, even to you!)
More details: Â
- Over 100 new unique packages.
- Klimmek will travel to high hrothgar once a week to reduce supply.
- Sigrid goes to Whiterun once a week.
- Sinmir left the hotel.
- The companions saw the city.
- Some innkeepers sleep and eat
- Brenuin finally goes to sleep (through the Whiterun Gate).
- Citizens now enter the store.
- Some pubs are busier on weekends.
- Clear in xEdit.
- Listing too many other details.
troubleshooting:
If you experience crashes, broken AI, or frozen/infinite loading screens, make sure the mods don't have conflicts and make sure they are not major conflicts. It's best not to have any conflicts, but with so many mods there are bound to be some minor ones that shouldn't break the game or harm saves. Either way you can back up your save.
The most common issues with this mod are conflicts with other mods that usually have editing AI, and most of the time this mod is often confused with 3rd party conflicts, so again make sure all your mods work in harmony (most of the time).
This shouldn't affect your FPS at all.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
