This is just a port of Skyrim's last SAT version, 1.9.2. The tent functions identically to this version. I recently came back to see how SSE has changed things and needed tent to finish my game, so here it is; enjoy.
Be warned! I probably won't pay much attention to this page, so the question may go unanswered for a long time. Below is the description of OldRim's original mod.
Regarding the General Stores add-on for SAT, seriously, guys; just grab the General Stores main download; you'll love it! If you don't want to download or use it, just disable the ADV GenStoresPlugin.esp in SAT and you're good to go. This will disable any information in Mod Organizer 2 regarding the need for the General Stores master file. It's not worth the separate download like my original OldRim mod, and it's certainly not worth doing a scripted installer for a .esp file.

manual:
Extract the .zip file into the Skyrim folder. It installs 5 files; Skyrim Adventurer's Tent.esm, Skyrim Adventurer's Tent.bsa and ADV HB-Style.esp, stoptent.txt and startent.txt and doesn't clutter your data folder with loose files.
usage:
Tent Summoned Summons a tent, which is automatically added when you activate the mod and start the game. Find the spells under Magic. You can set up your tent anywhere up to 250 feet from your location; just point your crosshair and cast the spell. It is recommended that you try to find reasonably level ground to set up on, otherwise you may not be able to fit through the opening.
Once the tent appears, walk inside; if they don't "wait", your current followers will follow you into the tent. Your map will update to show a map marker that you can use to return to your tent if you set it up and go on a walk.
To leave the tent, walk through the door.
Pack up the tent and cast the spell again.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
