describe:

As with all my mods, I want to add new classes or playstyles, and Blood Magic is next on my agenda. I've taken a different approach with some other mods. I want my blood mage to be anti-vampire. Vampires steal the blood mages' greatest source of power, and in doing so, they contribute to their natural enemies. Over the years, blood mages have found new ways to care for their unnatural enemies, and this mod provides those spells.

Some blood magic spells have additional effects on vampires. Other spell powers are directly related to the number of vampires killed while the spell is active. There are some hidden combinations that will achieve greater or special effects, try to discover them. These combinations have distinct visual effects, so you can't miss it. Perks and enchantments that make spells cheaper also reduce the cost of blood magic spells. They stack with other buffs in this mod. This includes modified spell perks and enchantments. I tried to use as many custom assets as possible, from projectiles to inventory puzzles.

To cast a spell, you must have magic equal to the cost. You won't be able to finish your magicka pool and then start depleting your health pool, which is not the way I designed it. There's a steep learning curve at the beginning, but once you get some of the perks and charms, you'll have a fun time. You need SKSE, DB and DG.

Get:

Spells can be purchased from vendors like every normal spell. Spells are injected into the level list and you may have to wait 48 hours for the vendor to have the spell. If you want to cast them effectively, you must first find the spellbook called "Blood Spell Knowledge." With this, you will be able to cast half the normal amount of spells when health is below 50%. Meaning, staying below 50% health is beneficial. Without the appropriate perks, lower level vampires will struggle to cast Bloodfiend effectively, and they will always take a second hit to their health when casting.

Spells:

There are 30 spells, and here are some descriptions, as well as some additional information.

Blood spell knowledge: Casting blood spells is more efficient. If the caster's health is below 50%, the cost of blood spells is reduced by 50%. Undead cannot effectively cast blood spells. If you want to rely primarily on Bloodfiend, you have to have this. Check the position of the image.

Absorb: A blood orb that causes the opponent to take X damage for Y seconds and creates a blood orb towards the caster. A low-level way to restore health when damage is dealt. It's designed not to be spammed, otherwise you can just put up with them and regenerate health constantly. Stand at a distance when shooting.

Altered Blood: Combines the essence of Atronach with the blood of Caster to grant damage reduction to the same element. New things related to fire, frost and air salt.

Bleed: Each power attack against the target while under this effect will cause additional bleed damage to the target for 25 seconds. Vampires also take magic damage. Perfect for the Blood Knight who wants to use magic and then attack with power.

Cursed Death: If the target dies within X seconds, a health orb will be generated. Blood orbs are used later in the game and it's a good thing to start collecting them early. I don't currently have early access to the game and will consider any decent ideas.

Sickened Fog: While sick, creates a sickened blood orb that will detonate after 5 seconds and deal damage to those in the fog. Be sure to stay away from the ball or you'll get hit too.

Life Orb: Uses a blood orb to create life orbs around the caster. Each ball restores health when the caster is in danger. Up to 3 balls will surround the player at a time. Each time the player falls below 20%, the caster will …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
