A mod that allows making a well-being potion
Mod itself:
This mod adds the Wellbeing Potion as a craftable potion.
The recipe for this potion can be obtained from almost any Alchemy retailer in the game, but comes at a cost. Keep in mind that the appearance of any particular recipe is random.
This is a three-ingredient potion, so it cannot be identified by the active "affect" potion list, as the Alchemy Crafting interface only assumes two ingredients. It must be crafted from the "Ingredients" section of the Alchemy menu.
Potions made using this recipe are just like any other potions. When players upgrade their alchemy skills, it increases power. Its potency can also be increased by wearing clothing that increases alchemical skill.
Techno babble:
Alchemy works by combining ingredients with "enhancing effects" (restore health, increase stamina, cure poison, etc.) and requires at least two ingredients. The "Potion of Wellbeing" (introduced by the Dragonborn DLC) has three effects; restore health, restore magic, and restore stamina. To achieve this, you need two ingredients with these three effects, or three ingredients with two effects in the right combination (one that restores health and restores Magicka, one that restores Magicka and restores Stamina, one that restores stamina and restores health). Unfortunately, there are no ingredients that can restore health and restore Magicka.
But...Vampire Dust has "Regenerate Health" and "Restore Magicka". So this mod just changes "Regenerate Health" to "Restore Health" in Vampire Dust. This allows for at least three ingredients to have the appropriate effect in the appropriate combination. I'll leave it to the player to figure out the other ingredients or purchase the recipe from Alchemy Vendor.
Now, for the well-known caveat. Potions created from this recipe will be named "Potion of Restoration Stamina" or "Potion of Restoration Mana", depending on the last ingredient activated. This is how the Alchemy interface works, I found that when creating a Potion via the "Ingredients" function, I cannot override the Potion's name. So watch carefully and pay attention when you sell those unwanted potions.
This mod will conflict with any other mod that modifies form vampireDust or LItemApothecaryRecipesRare50.
Installation, activation and problem reporting:
Download and activate using NMM.
Or you can download this mod to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data or wherever you wish and move it to whatever folder contains the Skyrim.ESM file. Right-click and navigate to "Extract Here", click and follow the prompts.
To activate this mod I recommend using NMM. Alternatively, you can use the "Load Order" interface provided by the game in the MODS section (this will require an ID on Behtesda.net). Or just edit C:\Users\'yourid'\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\Plugins.txt (not recommended).
I do not recommend using the Vortex product's plugin management interface. If you choose to use the plugin management interface in the Vortex product, this mod may not be put into your load order in the appropriate place, so the mod will not be supported if using that tool. If you choose to use the Vortex product's plugin management interface, please contact Vortex Support to resolve any loading order issues before reporting an issue to the author.
When reporting a problem, please include a link to a copy of your Plugins.txt file (path data above). If you use the plug-in management interface for a Vortex product, please include any issue identification from Vortex support. Any issues reported to the author without a link to a copy of the Plugins.txt file and containing any relevant Vortex issue number will be immediately deleted.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
