About this mod Machine translation

A third death was added. Allows you to see your own death in VR.

Note from the author: Development of this mod has been severely neglected at the moment due to being busy with work and devoting most of my development time to my other mod, View Yourself VR. Current status I do not recommend using this mod due to game breaking bugs. If you really want to try the mod, please use an older version. I will completely rewrite this mod after completing the other one.

When you die in VR, you usually don't see any changes, which can be confusing. Now you can at least see your character lifeless on the floor.

Important updated information:

After upgrading the mod from 1.0 to 1.1, if you get a weird glitch where the npcs are in t-pose and you can't move, either loading an earlier save where you don't have the mod installed or starting a new game and then loading your latest save should fix the problem.

Update log:

Version 1.1:

  • Modifications using these additional body slots are now displayed correctly.
  • Added blue tint after death.
  • Added slow motion effect after death.
  • Slightly expanded death timer.

How this works:

When your player character dies, it spawns a clone with your equipment, moves it to your location and kills it instantly. So the ragdoll force may not match the real thing (needs to be tested with a giant).

Next:

Your suggestions for improvements and ideas will be taken into consideration.

compatibility:

Slightly incompatible with Andromeda - Skyrim's unique standing stone in the Lover's Stone effect - Immortal Love.

May conflict with any other mod/perk related to player death events.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
