***Author’s thoughts***
It's finally done - I didn't expect that what I said about seeing you next time in the lightless forest was true, right?
It's a pity that there will be no next time to see you again - hahahaha, I want to run away with the bucket!
After half a year of production, two outlines of Breaking Fist, and two months of abandonment, I have finally come up with this messy, strange, and unclear story. It is really not easy (wipe away tears)
Now this introduction has made me dizzy and confused, and I don’t even know what to say...
Actually, there isn’t much to say... How about we talk about the production process of this module?
In fact, the original idea for the entire module came from a sentence: "The long golden hair reflects the light of the fire, like burning flames, like the burning Phoenix." This is my original intention of making this module, a gorgeous explosion! Since there are explosions and sacrifices, there should be a villain. After looking at the model of depersonalization, I chose the model worker King in Yellow. Create a villain, and then get a cult leader to cause trouble. This is the original version of the story.
Sounds boring, right? I also think that after adding a new character and smashing the mediocre story outline, the new one will generally be relatively better - but I always feel that it's still not very satisfying. It wasn't until one day after dinner that I was taking a walk on the road. As I was walking, the idea suddenly came to me - this is the second outline of Smashing Punch, which is the story you see now. The original story of the confrontation between the cultists is completely different from the original one. It is completely different.
I revised the entire outline as I was writing it, which resulted in a lot of things being discarded after I finished writing them. Some of them I thought were a pity, so they were added to the game as branches, and some of them were really thrown into the trash can.
In the whole production process, what I am most worried about is that players will think that the plot is inexplicable and logically confusing. Fortunately, everyone in the co-creation group encouraged and helped me. I would like to thank Hua Shuo, Lin Feng, Yi Hui, Yuan Lao, Xifeng, Qing Jing Gui Yi, Jian Shen and others for their help in the production process. Thank you very much.
Ah, it would be a bit too long to write any more, so let’s leave it at that.
As usual, I would like to thank everyone who plays the mod, the creators who provided help in the group, and the staff of Miaofa. Thank you very much!
I wish you all a happy trip and see you there next time...? Hey, I lied to you.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
