🛠️ Installation Guide

If you already have BepInEx installed, skip steps 1-4

• Download BepInEx
• Extract the contents to your *'Steam/steamapps/STORY OF SEASONS Grand Bazaar'* folder
• Run the game at least once to create the necessary files and folders
• Close the game
• Download this mod
• Place the .dll file of the module into *Steam/steamapps/STORY OF SEASONS Grand Bazaar/BepInEx/plugins*
• Have fun!
• Optional: Run the game to generate the configuration file BetterHorseHandling.cfg
• Find the configuration file in *Steam/steamapps/STORY OF SEASONS Grand Bazaar/BepInEx/config/BetterHorseHandling.cfg*
• Edit using NotePad++ or other text editor

🗑️ Uninstall method

Delete the following files:

⚙️ Configuration Settings

• **Debug**: Enable verbose logging for diagnostics (show horse properties in BepInEx console)
• **AlwaysMaxStats**: Force maximum attributes, regardless of friendliness (does not change actual friendliness level)
• **UseExponentialInterpolation**: Enable exponential scaling (get faster or slower gains at the start)
• **InterpolationExponent**: Controls the steepness of the exponential curve (the higher the value, the more aggressive it is)

Definition

• **Speed**: The current speed of the horse
• **Gallop**: The maximum speed of the horse after pressing the gallop button (RT key on the controller)
• **Horse Animation**:

-Level 1: Walking

• Level 2: Jogging, triggered immediately after pressing the gallop button
• Level 3: Gallop, triggered when speed >= RunMotionBorderSpeed
• **Horse turning animation**:
• Level 1: Normal, normal turning animation when speed < TurnBorderSpeed
• Level 2: Sharp, sharper turns triggered by TurnBorderSpeed

🎮Default configuration

Here are the presets I found to work for the gaming experience:

• **Modded**: Default settings for this mod; increased acceleration and handling; same top speed and endurance as the original
• **Stamina**: Infinite Stamina
• **Modded+**: slightly faster
• **Jump**: Jump high enough to cross the invisible wall in the river near the yellow windmill
• **Speed**: high-speed entertainment; not recommended if you care about horse racing
• **Ultimate**: Infinite stamina; crazy speed; skip everything - suitable for players who don't care about balance
